  • Publication number: 20240156357
Abstract: Described herein are systems, devices, and methods for cardiac monitoring. A method may include comparing, using a machine learning (ML) algorithm, an activity level of a user with one or more heart rate parameters of the user to determine whether a discordance is present between the activity level and the one or more heart rate parameters. In response to detecting that a discordance is present, performing an electrocardiogram (ECG) of the user to obtain ECG data of the user. An ML algorithm may be trained to detect an arrythmia using a historical set of training data including the activity level, the one or more heart rate parameters and previously recorded heart rate parameters, and a historical set of ECG data including the ECG data and previously recorded ECG data.

  • Publication number: 20240099593
Abstract: Disclosed herein are devices, systems, methods and platforms for continuously monitoring the health status of a user, for example the cardiac health status. The present disclosure describes systems, methods, devices, software, and platforms for continuously monitoring a user's low-fidelity health-indicator data (for example and without limitation PPG signals, heart rate or blood pressure) from a user-device in combination with corresponding (in time) data related to factors that may impact the health-indicator (“other-factors”) to determine whether a user has normal health as judged by or compared to, for example and not by way of limitation, either (i) a group of individuals impacted by similar other-factors, or (ii) the user him/herself impacted by similar other-factors.

  • Publication number: 20230284736
Abstract: Devices and methods are provided for promoting labour. An example device includes a platform and an upper portion. The platform includes a substantially level upper surface to receive a first foot of the user. The platform is substantially rigid to support the user's weight. The upper surface defines a height that provides an elevation differential between the first foot and a second foot of the user. The elevation differential can cause an uneven gait when the user walks while wearing the device. The upper portion is attached to the platform for releasably securing the platform to the first foot of the user. An example method involves positioning a first foot of a user on an upper surface of a platform device, securing the platform device to the first foot; and walking with the platform device secured to the first foot and a second foot of the user being free.

  • Patent number: 5069596
Abstract: A method and apparatus for handling and discharging bulk bags allowing dosage control is disclosed. A bulk bag is hung from a maneuverable frame with a pair of winches mounted thereon. After opening the bottom of the bag, actuation of the winches tightens a cable looped around the lower portion of the bag to restrict the flow of material out of the opening. A bulk bag specially adapted for the method is also disclosed.
