  • Publication number: 20160123589
Abstract: A heating apparatus may include a control valve assembly. A control valve assembly can have a housing and a valve body positioned within the housing. The housing can define an inlet and first and second outlets. The control valve assembly can also include an igniter having a sensor for firing an electrode. An extension can be used to activate the sensor and to thereby activate the igniter.

  • Patent number: 9328922
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a valve assembly can comprise a housing, a valve body and a nozzle. The housing can define a first inlet and a second inlet. The valve body can be positioned within the housing and configured to rotate between a first position for a first fuel type and a second position for a second fuel type different from the first. A control knob is operatively coupled to the valve body and to an air shutter such that rotation of the control knob controls the state of the valve body and the position of the air shutter.

  • Patent number: 9200802
Abstract: A heater assembly can be used with a gas appliance. The gas appliance can be a dual fuel appliance for use with one of a first fuel type or a second fuel type different than the first. The heater assembly can include at least one pressure regulator, a housing, and an actuation member. The housing has a first fuel hook-up for connecting the first fuel type to the heater assembly, and a second fuel hook-up for connecting the second fuel type to the heater assembly. • Patent number: 9200801
Abstract: A valve assembly can include a housing, which can define a first fuel input for receiving a first fuel from a first fuel source and a second fuel input for receiving a second fuel from a second fuel source. The housing can define a first fuel output for directing fuel toward a control valve, and can define a third fuel input for receiving a portion of either the first fuel or the second fuel from the control valve. The housing can define a first egress flow path and a second egress flow path, each for directing fuel to the burner. In certain embodiments, the apparatus includes a valve body configured to selectively permit fluid communication between the first and second inputs and the output and between the third input and the egress flow paths.

  • Publication number: 20150338091
Abstract: A heating assembly can include a housing with a gas hook-up and an integrated nozzle structure. The nozzle structure can include a first nozzle and a second nozzle. The first nozzle and second nozzle can be concentrically positioned relative to each other. The first nozzle and second nozzle can be adjacent each other. The housing can also include a valve that has a first position in which flow is permitted through the first nozzle but not the second nozzle. The valve can have a second position in which flow is permitted through the first nozzle and the second nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20150338099
Abstract: A heating assembly can include a locking valve with a reset switch which can include certain pressure sensitive features. These features can be configured to change from a first position to a second position based on a pressure of a fuel. The valve can be used with either a first fuel or a second fuel different from the first. The valve can become locked or be held in either the first or the second position. For example, a set fuel pressure can cause the valve to move to a closed position and the valve can become locked or held in that position. If the pressure decreases, the valve can remain in the locked position. Actuation of the reset switch can allow the valve to move to a new position, such as an open position. The locking valve can be linked to additional valves to lock them in position as well.

  • Patent number: 9091431
Abstract: A heater assembly can be used with a gas appliance. The gas appliance can be a dual fuel appliance for use with one of a first fuel type or a second fuel type different than the first. The heater assembly can include a fuel regulator valve including a main pressure regulator to maintain the fuel pressure, a first fuel source connection for connecting the first fuel type to the heater assembly, a second fuel source connection for connecting the second fuel type to the heater assembly, and an air shutter system. The air shutter system introduces air into the fuel discharged at the main burner nozzle before it is supplied to the main burner. The air shutter system can open the air shutter to two or more different positions to vary the amount of air introduced based on the type of fuel supplied.
