Abstract: A pillow having a length, a width and a height for supporting a head of a reclining body. The pillow is formed of a core formed with variable displacement parameters along the length and width in the direction of the height. The core includes an outer region surrounding, at least in part, an inner region where the inner region forms one or more cavities within the outer region to establish the variable displacement parameters. The variable displacement parameters allow the head to deform the pillow in the direction of the height of the pillow in proximity to the cavities for controlling alignment of the head in a comfortable sleeping position.
