  • Publication number: 20150329691
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a flame retardant foam formulation. As an example, the flame retardant formulation can include a mono-phosphonate having a hydroxyl group, a polyisocyanate having a functionality in a range from 2.0 to 10.0, wherein the polyisocyanate is present in an amount to provide for an isocyanate index of from 100 to 320, a compound having active hydrogen groups capable of reacting with the polyisocyanate, a blowing agent, and a catalyst.

  • Publication number: 20140364528
Abstract: A polyol formulation comprising certain type of polyester polyols useful in the preparation of rigid polyurethane foams having low surface friability is provided. In one embodiment, a reaction system for production of a rigid foam is provided. The reaction system comprises a polyester polyol and one or more polyisocyanates, wherein the polyester polyol and the polyisocyanates are mixed in amounts sufficient to provide a rigid polyurethane foam. The polyester polyol comprises the reaction product of from 20 to 60 weight percent of an aromatic component comprising at least 80 mole percent or greater of terephthalic acid, from 20 to 60 weight percent of a polyethylene glycol having a number average molecular weight from 150 to 1,000, from 5 to 20 weight percent of a glycol having a functionality of 2 and molecular weight of 60 to 250 and from 5 to 20 weight percent of a glycol having a functionality of at least 3 and a molecular weight of 60 to 250.

  • Patent number: 4940944
Abstract: An instrument for measuring cathodic protection voltage levels receives a signal representative of an externally applied, full-wave rectified power line frequency cathodic protection potential, which is subject to electrical interference. The fundamental power line frequency component and odd harmonics of that fundamental component are removed to produce a filtered signal. Selected parameters of the filtered signal are measured to provide an indication of the adequacy of the cathodic protection potential.
