  • Publication number: 20220095160
Abstract: Aspects relate to provision of a control message, such as an extension data section, that includes an indication of the repeat of highest priority data sections. The control message may be generated in a distributed unit (DU) and conveyed to a radio unit (RU) via a fronthaul link The control message may include either a flag or bits in a field of an extension data section allowing a RU to determine repeat of the highest priority data section based on reception of the flag or processing of the bit value in the field. Additionally, the indication of repetition of the highest priority section may be based on a section identifier transmitted by a DU, wherein an RU receiving the section identifier may determine repeat of the highest priority data section by tracking the received section identifier.

  • Patent number: 9819189
Abstract: A switchable supply network for powering multiple digital islands. In one embodiment, a first digital island includes a first power collapsible circuit and a first retention circuit, and a second digital island includes a second power collapsible circuit and a second retention circuit. In a normal mode of operation, the first digital island is provided a first supply voltage and a second digital island is provided a second supply voltage higher than the first supply voltage. In a transition mode the second power collapsible circuit is powered down and the second supply voltage is lowered and provided to the second retention circuit. When the second supply voltage falls below the first supply voltage, the first power collapsible circuit is powered down. The second supply voltage is now provided only to the retention circuits, and is furthered lowered in a retention mode to a final retention voltage.

  • Publication number: 20070000344
Abstract: A control lever assembly having a moveable lever and a knob mounted on an end of the lever. The knob has a hollow housing which is removably attached to a cylindrical base. The housing has a cylindrical side wall which forms an opening. A wheel is received in and partially enclosed by the housing for rotation therein. A portion of the housing completely surrounds an outer surface of one end of the wheel. A rotary encoder generates a rotary position signal and is coupled to the wheel by a stiff wire or shaft. The shaft extends through the wheel to a first end which is received by an alignment recess formed on an inner surface of the housing and to a second end which is coupled to the encoder. The shaft extends through a bore in the base and through a bore in the lever.

  • Publication number: 20060271489
Abstract: A method for facilitating access to electronic books and other similar digital materials includes first providing a digital book card having a card identification number and an activation code corresponding to the card identification number. The digital book card is also associated with an electronic book having an electronic book number. A retail store transaction is processed for the purchase of the electronic book associated with the digital book card. The transaction processing includes generating a receipt code that is associated with the card identification number. The retail store transmits the card identification number and the electronic book number to a central processor associated with a program administrator. The program administrator approves the transaction and provides a receipt code. A purchaser accessing a website associated with the central processor enters the card identification number, the activation code, and the receipt code.

  • Patent number: 6735454
Abstract: A technique for activating an active-mode high frequency clock following a sleep period for use within a mobile station wherein selected components of the mobile station operate using a low power, low frequency sleep-mode clock during the sleep period and the faster high frequency active-mode clock during non-sleep periods. In one embodiment, the technique is implemented by a device having a wake-up estimation unit for estimating a wake up time using the sleep-mode clock and a frequency drift compensation unit for compensating for any error in the estimated wake up time caused by frequency drift in the sleep-mode clock. An off-set time compensation unit is also provided for compensating for a lack of precision in the low frequency sleep-mode clock resulting in a possible error in the estimated wake up time. The lack of precision can result in an initial timing off-set error at the beginning of the sleep period and an final timing off-set error at the end of the sleep period.

  • Patent number: 4119987
Abstract: In a camera, a shutter release member is pivotally connected to a motion transmitting lever between respective end portions of the lever. One end portion of the lever normally contacts a removable fulcrum, and the other end portion contacts a restraining member provided for a shutter drive member. To initiate shutter actuation for picture-taking, the shutter release member is manually depressed to swing the lever about the removable fulcrum. The swinging lever moves the restraining member from a restraining position to a releasing position, freeing the drive member to actuate the camera shutter. To prevent unintended shutter actuation by inadvertently depressing the shutter release member, the fulcrum is removed from the lever. Then, manual depression of the shutter release member swings the lever about the restraining member, which is spring held in its restraining position to serve as an alternate fulcrum for the lever.

  • Patent number: 3999199
Abstract: A camera for perforated roll film includes a transport mechanism for advancing film along an exposure plane, a metering lever spring biased from an inactive toward an active position to disable the transport mechanism, and a sensing member for detecting the arrival of a perforation in the film at a predetermined position. The metering lever engages the film sensing member and biases the film sensing member into contact with the film. Sensing of a perforation and subsequent movement of the sensing member to a metering position disengages the sensing member from the metering lever and permits movement of the metering lever to its active position. Exposure operation of the shutter actuating mechanism returns the metering lever to its inactive position. A spring acting substantially parallel to the exposure plane is operative to return the sensing member to its sensing position upon subsequent operation of the film transport mechanism.

  • Patent number: PP11604
Abstract: The new and distinct variety of apple tree, Malus domestica, is a naturally occurring limb mutation of the `Braeburn` apple tree (an unprotected New Zealand variety). The fruit of the apple tree of the new variety is characterized by highly colored dark red fruit. Unlike the parent variety, the fruit has a dark red coloration in a solid blush pattern typically covering 100% of the fruit surface. The new variety has been named `Mariri Red`.
