Publication number: 20070130677Abstract: A marine toilet comprises an outer enclosure (10), a pump (12) arranged within the outer enclosure, an actuator (14) for operating the pump to implement toilet flushing, a toilet bowl (16) which is received in an opening in the top of the outer enclosure; and a seat (24) mounted over the opening in the top of the outer enclosure. The seat is mountable in any angular orientation with respect to the outer enclosure. This design enables the outer enclosure (10) to be installed in the optimum way having regard to the shape of the outer enclosure, the position of the flush control device, and the shape of the space in which the toilet is fitted. The direction faced by the toilet seat can be selected independently.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2006Publication date: June 14, 2007Inventor: David Edgerley

Publication number: 20070060015Abstract: A device for comforting and/or inducing sleep in an infant comprising a hollow body or other vibration transmitting means disposable at least partially beneath an infant's body or beneath or within a mattress or other body upon which an infant is laid, the space within the hollow body when provided, containing only a liquid and having at least one moveable or flexible wall portion or region permitting the body to change in volume in response to a change in the pressure of the liquid within the hollow body, the hollow body being in liquid communication or the transmitting means being in mechanical connection with a signal generator by means of an elongate tube or rod respectively whereby the signal generator can be placed at location remote from the hollow body or transmitting means, the signal generator, in use, producing pressure pulses in the liquid contained within the hollow body or vibrational movement of a predetermined pattern of varied frequency and magnitude, the pressure pulses causing vibrational mType: ApplicationFiled: November 10, 2006Publication date: March 15, 2007Inventors: Julian Glatt, David Edgerley

Publication number: 20060137683Abstract: A shark fin like shaped nozzle for an intranasal dispenser is disclosed. The nozzle has a tear drop or lozenge shaped section through its (in use) horizontal plane and a generally rearwardly directed vent for dispensing medicament directly into an inner nasal space of a user. A cap is attached to the front of the nozzle by a hinge for enclosing the nozzle and for preventing the incorrect application of the nozzle into a nostril.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 10, 2004Publication date: June 29, 2006Inventors: Gregor Anderson, David Edgerley, Robert Matthews

Publication number: 20050228341Abstract: There is provided a medicament dispenser for use with a medicament carrier having a plurality of pockets for containing medicament wherein said pockets are spaced along the length of and defined between two peelable sheets secured to each other, said dispenser having an internal mechanism for accessing said medicament contained within said medicament carrier. The internal mechanism comprises a carrier drive means; indexing means and clutch means, in communication therebetween. The clutch means comprises a gearing surface defining plural gear engagement positions; and plural gear teeth for engaging said plural gear engagement positions. The plural gear teeth are arranged such that at any one time only a single gear tooth engages a single gear engagement position.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2002Publication date: October 13, 2005Inventor: David Edgerley

Publication number: 20050100388Abstract: A writing instrument, which has an inner and outer writing element with separate writing medium reservoirs. The writing elements are coaxially mounted in an outer barrel and axially moveable with respect to one another. A driving mechanism may be actuated to allow a user to selectively extend one writing element. The inner and outer writing elements may have an inner sleeve therebetween to improve, for instance, rigidity of the outer writing element and to prevent contamination of the writing medium reservoirs. An outer sleeve may also be provided over the outer writing element. The outer sleeve can function to hold various components of the outer writing element together, and to allow for clean and easy refill of the outer writing element, especially when the outer writing element is a porous nib with a filler-type writing medium reservoir. The writing instrument is designed so that a user can replace the inner and/or outer writing elements when their respective writing medium have been expended.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 19, 2004Publication date: May 12, 2005Inventors: Vincent Bedhome, Kenneth Cooper, David Edgerley, Douglas Hungerford, Didier Lange, Robert Matthews, Franck Rollion, Anthony Wlodarczyk, Ryan Eddington

Patent number: 6497421Abstract: A training roller skate has rollers or wheels and wheel mounts, at least one wheel mount being movable, preferably in a direction transverse to the wheel axis, to permit contact between a wheel associated surface and a motion inhibitor that inhibits rotary motion of the wheel. The skate has a front shoe part defining a forward platform portion to support a skater's foot and further defining a toe cap support with which a separately formed toe cap is snap-fittedly attached to permit toe caps of alternative shapes and forms to be selectively attached to the toe cap support. The forward platform portion may have an attached brake pad of frictional material that is engageable by a roller, the brake pad being provided integrally with a projection frictionally to engage the ground when the platform is tilted.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 1999Date of Patent: December 24, 2002Assignee: Innovo International LimitedInventors: David Edgerley, Etienne Iliffe-Moon

Patent number: 6174146Abstract: An electric bilge pump for collecting liquid found in a bottom of a vessel or any other place. The pump is formed of three parts in axial alignment. The assembly is secured to a surface in substantially a horizontal position. An electric motor is enclosed in a cylindrical jacket and has an output shaft with an impeller at its distal end. A second part of the housing is tubular and defines a chamber with the impeller in the chamber. The chamber has an axial inlet with a tangential outlet. A filter is fitted over the inlet to filter out any unwanted debris.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 1998Date of Patent: January 16, 2001Assignee: Munster Simms Engineering LimitedInventors: Graham Lacy, David Edgerley, Alastair Eves, Norman Rehill
