Patent number: 11976552Abstract: Distributed sensing systems and methods with spatial location correlation of a reflection produced along an electromagnetic (EM) waveguide. A distributed sensing system comprises an EM waveguide, a distributed sensing interrogator, and a processor. The distributed sensing interrogator comprises a transmitter coupled to the EM waveguide and generates an interrogation pulse through the EM waveguide. The distributed sensing interrogator also comprises a receiver coupled to the EM waveguide and responsive to backscattered EM waves propagating through the EM waveguide. The processor determines a spatial location associated with a reflection produced along the EM waveguide using a return signal generated from the reflection by the interrogator and an interrogation signal including the interrogation pulse.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2016Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventors: Neal G. Skinner, Andreas Ellmauthaler, David Andrew Barfoot

Patent number: 10800311Abstract: An operating mechanism for a ramp door includes a door actuation system and a limit stop system. The actuation system is connected between the door and a frame or the vehicular structure directly and is operable to pivot the door between closed, deck, and ramp positions. The limit stop system selectively limits the pivoting of the door to a range between the closed and deck portion or to a range between the closed and ramp positions.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2019Date of Patent: October 13, 2020Assignee: LIPPERT COMPONENTS, INC.Inventors: Bryan J. Roth, Jeffrey K. Albrecht, Dominick Bilancio, David G. Skinner, Samuel Evans

Patent number: 9507783Abstract: A file system storage device includes a memory storing instructions and at least one processor. The processor is configured to: execute the instructions to create a storage area symbolic name in the file system storage device, generate a core table data structure, generate an ancillary table data structure, cache partitioning rule paths for the file system storage device based on the storage area symbolic name, compare property values for a document with the cached partitioning rule paths, dynamically select the storage device symbolic name for the document, store the document into a partition of the file system storage device, store metadata for the document into a partition of the core table, and store ancillary objects for the document into a partition of the ancillary table.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2016Date of Patent: November 29, 2016Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: William J. Carpenter, David G. Skinner, Hailin Wang, Michael G. Winter, Jun Xu

Patent number: 9424135Abstract: A method for content management in a file system includes creating a file system storage device with a storage area symbolic name. A core table data structure is generated including a core table partition field. An ancillary table data structure is generated including an ancillary table partition field. Partitioning rules for the file system storage device are cached based on the storage area symbolic name. Property values for a document are compared with the cached partitioning rules to determine a match for the storage area symbolic name. The document is stored into a partition of the file system storage device based on the storage area symbolic name. Metadata for the document is stored into a partition of the core table based on the core table partition field. Ancillary objects for the document are stored into a partition of the ancillary table based on the ancillary partition fields.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2015Date of Patent: August 23, 2016Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: William J. Patent number: 9410326Abstract: A retractable awning system includes an awning and a support structure therefor. The support structure includes a base and first, second, and third support arms. The awning is attached to a roller connected to the third support arm and to another structure. A telescopic actuator coupled to the first and second support arms is configured to bias the first, second, and third support arms to a deployed state. The awning may be wound onto the roller. Tension in the awning resulting from the rolling process causes the support structure to transition to a collapsed position.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2014Date of Patent: August 9, 2016Assignee: LIPPERT COMPONENTS, INC.Inventors: Jeffrey K. Albrecht, Zachery B. Nelson, Andrew J. Papczynski, Brian M. Worthman, Michael J. Fiwek, David G. Skinner, Christopher S. Greer
