  • Publication number: 20080131848
Abstract: A weapon simulator assembly for monitoring correction of a malfunction of a simulated weapon having a detachably attached simulated magazine includes a central processor for generating the malfunction scenario. A weapon processor is supported in the simulated weapon in electrical communication with the central processor, with an electrical interface connecting the weapon processor with the simulated magazine detachably attached to said receiver. A sensor, such as a tap sensor or accelerometer, is in electrical communication with the weapon processor via said electrical interface, with the tap sensor or accelerometer registering a strike when a force is applied to the simulated magazine above a predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20070017524
Abstract: A gas regulating assembly controlling the pressure of gas from a gas reservoir to a pneumatically-operated device includes a primary housing surrounding a pair of gas regulators. The gas regulators are aligned in series within the primary housing between an inlet to receive high pressure gas and an outlet for releasing a controlled pressure gas. Each gas regulator includes a sealable valve that defines an input and an output, with each valve including a piston having a cylinder and a rod. A spring is adjacent said piston to force said piston cylinder away from said corresponding inlet, and a shim proximate said spring to adjust the force applied by said spring on said piston cylinder. Each valve allows gas to traverse the corresponding gas regulator until a predetermined pressure is achieved in the respective outlet of the respective gas regulator, at which point the predetermined pressure will close the corresponding valve.

  • Publication number: 20020073815
Abstract: An optical component cutting device for cutting at least one optical component has a clamping station with clamping members associated with a clamp drive mechanism operative to move at least one of the clamping members into dynamic clamping contact with the at least one optical component, and a cutting station having cutting members associated with a cutting drive mechanism operative to move at least one cutting member into dynamic cutting relationship with the at least one optical component as the optical component is translating along the line. An exemplary method of cutting the least one optical component including the steps of: a) guiding the optical component so that it is generally aligned with a cutting station; b) accelerating rotating clamping members to a speed generally complementary to that of the optical component line speed; and then c) cutting the optical component at the cutting station.

  • Patent number: 5930080
Abstract: A transducer suspension system for a data storage disk drive device has electrical wires strung along the top surface of the suspension. The wires bend around the distal end of the suspension and are connected to electrical pads on the transducer slider below. The height of the wires is reduced by swiping the wires in a lateral direction using a two-finger member. The swipe operation bends the wires down to reduce the overall height and reduces the stress created by the wires in the electrical pad bonds and allows the slider gimbal the freedom to move.

  • Patent number: 5009716
Abstract: A blanket and roller wash for removing ink from printing press components. The blanket and roller wash has a very low, substantially zero percent, emmision of volatile organic compounds. The blanket and roller wash is a two-component composition containing a nonionic surfactant and a monobasic fatty acid having 12 to 20 carbon atoms or a three-component composition containing a saturated hydrocarbon oil of low viscosity in addition to the nonionic surfactant and the fatty acid. The invention further relates to methods of removing ink from printing rollers and blankets.
