Abstract: A hair care composition suitable for use as a shampoo comprises;(a) at least one surfactant;(b) at least one water-insoluble end-functionalized quaternary silicone polymer capable of dissolving in said at least one surfactant; and(c) a cationic deposition polymer.

Abstract: A shampoo composition comprises an anionic surfactant, a water-insoluble sunscreen, or mixtures thereof, and a cationic derivative of a polygalactomannan gum. When the sunscreen is normally solid at room temperature, then the composition further comprises a non-volatile solvent for the sunscreen.

Abstract: A composition suitable for topical application to the skin or hair, comprises:a. a short chain dialkyl or dialkenyl phosphate salt having the structure (1): ##STR1## and b. a monoalkyl or monoalkyl phosphate salt (or mixtures thereof), having the structure (2): ##STR2## where R.sup.01 and R.sup.02 are each chosen from branched or unbranched alkyl or alkenyl groups having an average of from 7 to 9 carbon atoms;R.sup.03 is chosen from branched or unbranched alkyl or alkenyl groups having an average of from 6 to 18 carbon atoms;X, Y and Z are each chosen from H, alkali metal, ammonium and substituted ammonium counterions; anda, b and c are each chosen from 0, or a value of from 1 to 4.
