  • Publication number: 20240013431
Abstract: A system may include an image capture device a processor communicatively coupled to the image capture device. The image capture device may be configured to obtain one or more images. The processor may be configured to receive a first image obtained by the image capture device, determine if a first object is in the first image, determine if a size and a location of the first object in the first image meet threshold values if the first object is determined to be in the first image, determine at least one corrective action to be taken if at least one of the size and the location of the first object in the image does not meet the threshold values, and cause an instruction for taking the at least one corrective action to be communicated to a user. Methods and machine-readable storage media also are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240005387
Abstract: A system includes a computing device including a processor communicatively coupled to a camera. The computing device is configured to, in response to receiving a request, capture an image via the camera and detect, within the image, a first plurality of locations of a first object. The computing device is further configured to segment the first plurality of locations of the first object by determining, for each location of the first plurality of locations, a likelihood the corresponding location includes a part of the first object. The computing device is configured to inpaint a second plurality of locations with an associated likelihood the corresponding location includes the part of the first object above a threshold value. The computing device is additionally configured to generate an augmented image by superimposing a selected second object over the image and display the augmented image on a user interface of the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20230020578
Abstract: Systems and methods for vision test and uses thereof are disclosed. A method may be implemented on a mobile device having at least a processor, a camera and a display screen. The method may include capturing at least one image of a user using the camera of the mobile device; interactively guiding the user to a predetermined distance from the display screen of the mobile device based on the at least one image; presenting material on the display screen upon a determination that the user is at the predetermined distance from the display screen; and receiving input from the user in response to the material presented on the display screen. The material presented on the display screen may be for assessing at least one characteristic of the user's vision. Mobile devices and non-transitory machine-readable mediums having machine-executable instructions embodied thereon for assessing a user's vision also are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210393121
Abstract: A method of operating a pupillary distance system is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of capturing, with at least one camera of the pupillary distance system a 2D image and a corresponding 3D depth map of a face of a subject. A determination of pupil localization information is made using the 2D image and corresponding 3D depth map. The pupil location is further refined based on the pupil localization information. Pupil center coordinates are determined and the pupillary distance is calculated for a subject between centers of each pupil. Processes and uses thereof are also disclosed.
