  • Patent number: 6475290
Abstract: A method for the cleaning of a substrate having an organic compound such as a hydrogenic compound thereon, the method comprising the step of applying to the substrate a composition comprising a lignosulfonate and a microbially effective amount of microorganisms in an aqueous solution. The method is ideally practiced to achieve the microbial degradation of hydrocarbons and can be used as a parts washing solution and for cleaning substrates such as floors, decks of vessels, etc.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 16, 2001
Date of Patent: November 5, 2002
    Assignee: Earth Alive Resources Inc.
    Inventor: David H. Jones
  • Publication number: 20020063095
Abstract: A method for the treatment of sewage sludge which comprises the step of applying to the sludge a biologically effective amount of a composition which contains a lignosulfonate and sludge digesting microbes, preferably from the genus bacillus. The method may be practiced in sewage treatment plants and also may be used for treatment and ordour supression in holding tanks and the like.

  • Patent number: 6265452
Abstract: A process for producing liquid and gaseous products from gaseous reactants. The process includes a) feeding a synthesis gas stream of mainly carbon monoxide and hydrogen, as gaseous reactants, into a slurry bed of solid Fischer-Tropsch catalyst particles suspended in a suspension liquid, with the slurry bed being provided in a reaction zone, b) allowing the gaseous reactants to react, by means of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, as they pass upwardly through the slurry bed; c) withdrawing liquid phase from the slurry bed, to maintain the slurry bed at a desired level; d) allowing gaseous products and unreacted gaseous reactants to disengage from the slurry bed and to pass upwardly as a gas phase into a freeboard zone of a head space above the reaction zone; e) subjecting the gas phase to distillation; f) returning separated catalyst particles and liquid phase from the distillation zone and g) withdrawing treated gas phase from the head space.

  • Patent number: 4225531
Abstract: The invention is directed to improving the quality of fluidization of fluidized solids and comprises the addition of fluidization promoters in particle form that have a smaller density and particle size than the neat solids. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the catalyst is a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst and the fluidization promoter comprises carbon particles.
