  • Publication number: 20240104193
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for direct assignment of physical devices to confidential virtual machines (VMs). At a first guest privilege context of a guest partition, a direct assignment of a physical device associated with a host computer system to the guest partition is identified. The guest partition includes the first guest privilege context and a second guest privilege context, which is restricted from accessing memory associated with the first guest privilege context. The guest partition corresponds to a confidential VM, such that a memory region associated with the guest partition is inaccessible to a host operating system. It is determined, based on a policy, that the physical device is allowed to be directly assigned to the guest partition. Communication between the physical device and the second guest privilege context is permitted, such as by exposing the physical device on a virtual bus and/or forwarding an interrupt.

  • Patent number: 7555995
Abstract: An information tracking device has a bottom disk, a middle marker element, a top disk, and a locking element. The bottom disk has a top surface and a perimeter with a first plurality of information indicia imprinted on the top surface adjacent the perimeter. The middle marker has a marking element. The top disk includes an upper surface with a second plurality of information indicia imprinted on the upper surface. The locking element releasably locks the bottom disk, the middle marker, and the top disk together such that the middle marker indicates a selected one of the first plurality of information indicia and a selected one of the second plurality of information indicia.

  • Patent number: 7032535
Abstract: A tracking device for tracking the ingestion of a plurality of doses of an ingestible material from a container has a time indicating sheet and a plurality of dose indicators. A plurality of time indicating indicia is imprinted on a top surface of the time indicating sheet, each of the plurality of time indicating indicia being spatially separated from each other on the top surface and being adapted to indicate a time period. The plurality of dose indicators each have printed on an upper surface one of a plurality of dose identifying indicia and a reference mark that indicates a direction of orientation visible on each of the plurality of dose indicators. A layer of adhesive on a lower surface of the plurality of dose indicators allows the plurality of does indicators to be attached to the top surface of the time indicating sheet such that the reference mark visibly indicates a direction of orientation that is associated with one of the plurality of time indicating indicia.

  • Publication number: 20040262364
Abstract: A method of making a face mask including the steps of providing a plurality of lengths of Grade 2, commercially pure titanium wire, having a diameter of from about 0.21 to about 0.24 inches; forming each length at room temperature to a desired bend angle by bending the member at room temperature using rotary bending apparatus to a first bend angle that is from about 1.25 to about 1.35 times greater than the desired bend angle; and welding each of the thus formed lengths to at least one other of the lengths in an ambient, oxygen containing environment.

  • Patent number: 6792829
Abstract: A lifting tool has a handle, a lifting tool head, and a means for slidably mounting the lifting tool head on the handle such that the lifting tool head slides with respect to the handle between an extended position and a compressed position. The lifting tool further includes a means for biasing the lifting tool head towards the extended position. Since the lifting tool head can slide against the bias of the means for biasing, the lifting tool can absorb some of the shock if the lifting tool head strikes a hard obstruction, thereby sparing a user from the strain and potentially avoiding an injury that could result from the strain.

  • Patent number: 6591428
Abstract: A fit system positionable adjacent interior portions of a helmet and cranial surfaces of a cranium of a wearer of the helmet proximate the interior portions of the helmet for improving the fit of the helmet to the cranium. The system includes an elongate fluid impervious bladder having a first end including an inlet port in fluid communication with the bladder and a second end remote from the first end. The bladder defines a single continuous fluid flowpath between the first end and the second end for receiving fluid introducible into the bladder through the inlet port for expanding the bladder so that substantially the entire length of the bladder may be expanded to engage mutually facing portions of the cranium of the user and interior portions of the helmet.

  • Patent number: 6532632
Abstract: A buckle for receiving a strap member and for snap-fitting to a snap stud located on a helmet, the buckle including a metal member having opposite ends and opposite first and second substantially planar surfaces, with an aperture located between the ends and a slit on either side of the aperture, each of the slits including a plurality of rugous surfaces suitable for frictionally engaging a strap member positionable there through. A metal snap configured to be matingly engagable with the snap stud of the helmet is affixed adjacent to the first surface of the metal member by a fastener connectingly associated with the metal snap and the aperture of the metal member. A plastic material substantially encases the metal member except that at least a portion of the rugous surfaces and a portion of the first surface of the metal member adjacent the metal snap are not encased by the plastic material and remain exposed.
