  • Publication number: 20230309432
Abstract: An agricultural implement operating on a field surface with growing crop plants comprises a plurality of divider mechanisms mounted in front of the implement wheels. Each divider mechanism comprises a divider member comprising a diversion member tapering laterally from a front end of the divider member, operative to push the crop plants away from a path of the wheel, and mounted to the implement by a parallel link assembly. An actuator is connected to the parallel link assembly and moves the divider member up and down. A control is operative to activate each actuator, and a sensor system senses a divider height of each divider member above the field surface. The sensor system is connected to the control such that the control is operative to specify a desired divider height for each divider member.

  • Patent number: 9115777
Abstract: A self-retracting extension limiting device. It is designed to be attached between a first object and a second object, where the distance between the first and second objects is variable. The device exerts a restoring force tending to draw the two objects together. A first, relatively weak restoring force is exerted over a range of distance. Then, when the objects have been separated to a defined limit of travel, the device exerts a much greater restoring force. The invention includes overlapping and self-contained elements so that unwanted slack is minimized.

  • Patent number: 9086118
Abstract: A load pin and clevis joint for joining two or more mechanical components together. The load pin includes a retention feature that requires two separate motions to unlock the pin. In a locked state, the load pin is secured across both halves of a clevis joint so that it completely spans an open span between the two clevis halves. In the preferred embodiment, the two motions required to unlock the load pin are (1) moving the load pin linearly; and (2) rotating the load pin.

  • Patent number: 7552692
Abstract: A spreader tip which can be applied to a variety of different spreader bars having different shapes and sizes. The spreader tip features at least one mounting arm which is positioned to bear against a portion of the spreader bar's exterior. The engagement between the at least one mounting arm and the exterior of the spreader bar is discontinuous, in that it engages less than the entire circumference of the spreader bar's exterior.
