  • Publication number: 20240143137
Abstract: Techniques for generating heatmap overlays, for presentation with interactive web pages of websites are described. Consistent with embodiments, client-side scripting is used to obtain heatmap data (derived from website usage data) from a data analytics service, and generate from the heatmap data an overlay showing a heatmap. The heatmap includes heatmap blobs positioned and colored to indicate the web page elements that have been clicked most frequently.

  • Publication number: 20240108236
Abstract: Hemodynamic monitoring system is presented. In one embodiment, a system for non-invasive monitoring of a subject's heart includes an RF transmitting antenna. The RF transmitting antenna is configured for transmitting at least one transmitted RF signal toward the subject. The system also includes an RF receiving antenna. The RF receiving antenna is configured for receiving at least one received RF signal transmitted by the RF transmitting antenna and modified by a subject's body. The RF transmitting antenna and the RF receiving antenna are located on opposing sides of a planar projection of the subject's heart. The system also includes a processing circuit configured for: controlling transmitting and receiving of the RF signal, and determining, based on the at least one received RF signal, at least one physiological parameter of the subject.

  • Patent number: 11933334
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein to implement transverse momentum injection at low frequencies to directly modify large-scale eddies in a turbulent boundary layer on a surface of an object. A set of transverse momentum injection actuators may be positioned on the surface of the object to affect large-scale eddies in the turbulent boundary layer. The system may include a controller to selectively actuate the transverse momentum injection actuators with an actuation pattern to affect the large-scale eddies to modify the drag, fluid mixing, heat transfer, and/or other interactions of the fluid flow with the surface. In various embodiments, the transverse momentum injection actuators may be operated at frequencies less than 10,000 Hertz.

  • Publication number: 20140289537
Abstract: An encryption system (10) and method for a computing device (100) having an encrypted operating system (50) is disclosed. The encryption system (10) includes a pre-operating system (20) and an encrypted start-up module (40). The pre-operating system (20) is executed on start-up of the computing device (100) and is configured to receive user inputs for authenticating the user, the pre-operating system (20) authenticating the user in dependence on the user inputs and, upon authentication, block-decrypting the encrypted start-up module into volatile memory (102) for booting of the encrypted operating system (50) on the computing device (100).

  • Publication number: 20120303971
Abstract: A dual environment computing system and method is disclosed. The dual computing system includes a first computing environment and a second computing environment. A data repository encodes, at any one time, at least one of the first and second computing environments in a hibernated state. The dual environment computing system is arranged, on demand, to operate one of the first and second computing environments in an active state, the dual environment computing system being further arranged, on demand, to transition the one of the first and second computing environments being operated in the active state into a hibernated state in the data repository and to transition the other of the first and second computing environments from the hibernated state into an active state.

  • Publication number: 20060146124
Abstract: A Video Conference Recorder (VCR) provided with integral input transcoders which convert received video call data into an intermediate format. Once the input transcoder has processed the data it passes it to a memory in the VCR where it is stored until a user requires it to be played back. If required the data can be converted into more than one output format using multiple input transcoders. On receiving a request to play back a recording the VCR locates the data in its memory and sends it to an output transcoder, integral to the VCR. If the stored data format is one that the endpoint can receive then the output transcoder transmits the data across the network to the endpoint. If, however, the endpoint cannot receive the stored data format then the output transcoder converts the data into a format which the endpoint can receive before onward transmission.
