Some embodiments may include receiving from a first communication device associated with a first user a coverage request defining a coverage period and requesting that a second user associated with a second communication device provide care coverage for the first user, sending a notification of the coverage request to the second communication device including the coverage period and requesting agreement to provide care coverage for the first user, receiving from the second communication device an acceptance of the coverage request, and directing to the second communication device a message sent to the first communication device during the coverage period in response to receiving the acceptance of the coverage request.

Some embodiments may include receiving, by a communication device, a plurality of messages from a server. The communication device may apply a first level ordering to each of the plurality of messages to determine a set of role-based categories, a second level ordering to each of the plurality of messages to assign each of the plurality of messages to one of the role-based categories, and a third level ordering to each of the plurality of messages to rank the plurality of messages within the assigned role-based category based on an assigned priority, a message type, and a timestamp of each of the plurality of messages. The communication device may generate an ordered presentation of the plurality of messages based on the determined rank of the plurality of messages within the assigned role-based category.

Abstract: Embodiments include methods, devices, systems, and non-transitory process-readable storage media for providing incoming call context information to a communication device in a medical communication system. Some embodiments may include receiving, by a server device, clinical information in one or more information feeds from one or more other devices, determining, by the server device, whether a communication request from a first communication device for a second communication device has been received, and sending, by the server device, to the second communication device a communication request message including call context information that is drawn from the clinical information. Call context information includes patient and clinical information to enable a recipient to understand the nature and urgency of a call before answering.
