  • Publication number: 20240102320
Abstract: A wing lock and deployment apparatus for an air launched vehicle includes a driver acted on by a single linear actuation event. The disclosed wing lock and deployment apparatus is capable of unlocking deployable wings of an air launched vehicle, deploying deployable wings of the air launched vehicle from a stored position, and locking deployable wings of the air launched vehicle in a deployed position in sequential order with the one single linear actuation event.

  • Patent number: 10563458
Abstract: A horizontal directional drilling system. The system has a pilot drill and an exit side drill, with a drill string extending between them. A backreamer is positioned between the drills to enlarge a borehole. The pilot drill pulls and rotates the backreamer. The exit side drill adds segments to the product pipe and pushes the product pipe into the enlarged borehole. The exit side drill is equipped with a rotational disconnect. The disconnect is engaged to allow torque transfer between a motor and a spindle when adding segments to the product pipe. The disconnect is disengaged to prevent torque transfer between the motor and the spindle when pushing the product pipe into the enlarged borehole.

  • Publication number: 20070241937
Abstract: A system for controlling a marine vessel's existing horn to automatically sound navigational signals as set forth in Coast Guard Navigation Rules, International and Inland for Sound and Light Signals for boats 12 meters 39 feet and larger, Rules 34 through 37. The system provides a user-interface with a selection of predetermined horn/light signals that can be repeated once or continuously via lights and/or sound, with a preview of the selected signal. The system permits a helmsman and other crew members to attend to other duties without constant attention to the vessel's horn, and enhances safety and Coast Guard compliance, and in the long term helps to inform and educate the operator through observing the signal patterns, on the water, or in boating courses like Coast Guard Auxiliary, Power Squadron and Community College courses.

  • Publication number: 20070200272
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for viscosity breaking of a polypropylene polymer, a polypropylene copolymer or a polypropylene polymer blend, which process comprises adding a chain transfer agent and an initiator to a polypropylene polymer, polypropylene copolymer or polypropylene polymer blend and heating the resultant composition. The chain transfer agent has a Cs value of greater than or equal to about 0.04 as measured in ethylene polymerization at 130° C. The initiator is for example an organic or inorganic peroxide, a carbon based radical generator, a bis azo compound, a stable nitroxyl compound, a sterically hindered NO-acyl compound or a sterically hindered alkoxyamine compound.
