Patent number: 11305173Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system for sensor-based objective determination. In general, sensor data may be used to render objective determinations that were not previously possible due to the unavoidable subjectivity of human-based officiating systems. For example, at least one device may be configured to make objective determinations during the course of a sporting event. Data collection circuitry may receive data from sensor devices coupled to players, equipment, playing surfaces, etc. Data analysis circuitry may categorize the data and input the data into a model to determine if an infraction occurred. For example, categorization may involve determining a type of infraction that may have occurred based on the sensor data. The model may then be selected based on the type of infraction, the model being developed utilizing prior sensor data, rules for the sporting event, etc. Output circuitry may generate a notification based on the infraction determination.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2020Date of Patent: April 19, 2022Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Richard Paul Crawford, David I. Poisner, Yuri I. Krimon

Patent number: 10576378Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and system create and execute non-linear interactive programs comprising action stages. During creation of a non-linear interactive program, output devices do not need to be known in advance, but can be defined according to output device criteria. Based on output devices encountered during execution of a non-linear interactive program, input which may be received from the output devices is determined, as well as input-output criteria. When input is received and input-output criteria are satisfied, output may be produced. In this way, execution of the non-linear interactive program may unfold, adaptively, based on participating output devices and input provided by such devices.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2016Date of Patent: March 3, 2020Assignee: Intel CorporationInventor: David I. Patent number: 10539932Abstract: An edge device monitors a mechanical system for changes in vibration state. When an overall vibration state of the mechanical system deviates by at least a threshold from an expected vibration state, the edge device can send the data to a server for diagnostic processing. The edge device can thus monitor for a pre-failure condition that suggests an upcoming failure or a need for service. With selective sending of sensor data, the bandwidth and processing associated with diagnostics can be reserved for situations more likely indicative of a condition needing diagnosing, rather than performing constant diagnostic processing.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2017Date of Patent: January 21, 2020Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Sangeeta J.
