  • Patent number: 7178766
Abstract: A retainer for immobilizing a bucket containing a liquid material, such as paint or other relatively viscous liquids, during mixing the material or to prevent accidental tipping of the bucket, is formed with a ring-like socket within which the bucket is positioned. Laterally-extending wings are formed on the socket. The user stands upon the wings to hold the socket against the ground-supporting surface upon which the socket is supported so as to prevent rotational or other movement of the socket and, consequently, movement of the bucket. The socket is formed of a generally cylindrically-shaped, vertically-axised wall which is tapered inwardly from its upper edge to its lower edge at a sufficient slope to radially inwardly frictionally grip and temporarily lock the bucket within the socket.

  • Patent number: 4788996
Abstract: A foldable umbrella-like cover for covering the open top of a golf club bag and golf clubs extending out of the bag, includes a vertically elongated tube that is centrally positioned within the bag, along with the golf clubs, and is releasably clamped to the wall of the bag. A vertically slidable, elongated rod extends into the tube. A ring-like collar is attached to the lower end of the rod, and the upper end of the rod is provided with a manual grip for sliding the rod into and out of the tube. A number of umbrella ribs are connected, at their inner ends, to the collar so that such inner ends may be moved, with the collar, for retracting the ribs into the tube, for closing the umbrella, or alternatively, extending the ribs outwardly of the tube for opening the umbrella. A flexible cloth-like umbrella cover is secured to the ribs and moves into and out of the tube with the ribs.

  • Patent number: 4433627
Abstract: A plastic conveyor trolley structure having plastic bearings and made of a super tough plastic material, comprises a pair of complementary arms each supporting a wheel for rotation on roller bearings held in a fixed inner race forming an integral part of a stub axle on which the trolley wheel is rotatable. The trolley is readily movable on the flanges of an I-beam monorail. A pendant member secured to and between the lower ends of the trolley arms is engaged by the conveyor drive chain to move the trolley along on the monorail. Metal screws are used to hold the depending member to the arms and to secure the stub axle for the trolley wheel to its supporting arm.

  • Patent number: 4406366
Abstract: A material handling rack to translate articles having in part a V-shaped cross-section, at which the article is at least partially supported, and spaced apart relatively opposing generally upwardly-facing plastic article-support members removably secured to transverse rails affixed to the rack frame. The transverse rails are arranged in parrallel from one longitudinal end to the other and define open spaces therebetween for admission of said articles to be supported by the said plastic members which are secured to and extend laterally from the transverse rails into the region of the open spaces therebetween. Manually operable plastic detent hold-down arms are movably attached to the plastic support members to alternately engage with or disengage from laterally extending surfaces of the articles whereby to secure the latter in or release them for removal from the rack frame.

  • Patent number: 4403697
Abstract: A supporting rack comprises a plurality of cradle sets arranged in a series upon a lift platform, to translate a plurality of substantially identical load units or subassemblies, one to each cradle set, from one station or location to another. The cradle set comprises a pair of parallel, opposed, spaced apart nest members having elements projecting laterally therefrom in opposing relationship to support a load unit or subassembly therebetween, and a pair of lateral separator and tieing members removably secured to the ends of the nest members whereby to maintain the latter in upright, spaced apart relationship for facile reception of the said load unit or subassembly by and discharge from the nest members. The cradle sets can be arranged in parallel, adjacent, side-by-side series, in which case one of the lateral separator and tieing members is designed to separate and connect the nest members of parallel, adjacent, side-by-side cradle sets.
