  • Patent number: 6386023
Abstract: A sensor (210) for increasing signal time employs a resiliently deflectable member n(218) with a pressure sensitive signal element (216) and base member (222). The dampening effect of the elastic material provides a longer signal response time that allows sufficient time for a system to react without a need for additional signal conditioning circuitry. Sensor (10, 110) senses a selected path of movement for a moveable element (8) and establishes a signal indicative thereof. The limit sensor includes a resiliently deflectable member (18) for activating the signal at a predetermined station along the preselected path of movement and includes a base member (22) for supporting the resiliently deflectable member (18) and the pressure sensitive signal element (16). An actuator (20) receives the force (F) from the moveable element (8) and transfers the force (F) to the pressure sensitive signal element (16).

  • Patent number: 6016097
Abstract: A motion transducer having a user moveable plunger which compresses a spring for generating a force proportional to plunger displacement and applying the generated force to an actuator telescoped onto the plunger. The actuator has an elastomeric pad on the surface which contacts and reacts the generated force onto a force/pressure sensitive resistive strip which varies its resistance with the changing force applied by the elastomeric pad. The changes in resistance may be electrically detected to give an indication of plunger travel.

  • Patent number: 4938709
Abstract: Terminals for electrically contacting wire loops disposed on each end of a cartridge type bulb are formed from resilient electrically conducting sheet metal. Each terminal consists of an elongated member having a relatively narrow contact portion joined to a wider base portion at a shoulder. The contact portion has a outwardly projection tab acting to retain the wire loop of a cartridge type bulb, while the base portion has a downwardly projecting tab for securing the terminal in a lamp housing or socket assembly. A means for electrically connecting a wire to end of the base of the terminal is provided by arcuate shaped projecting tabs which can be crimped over the wire core and insulating jacket.
