Patent number: 11992566Abstract: A delivery robot includes a cargo bin to carry cargo for delivery, and a door coupled to the cargo bin. The door to the cargo bin has an open state to allow access to an interior of the cargo bin, and a closed state to seal the interior of the cargo bin from an exterior environment. The delivery robot also includes a disinfecting light source operable to generate a disinfecting radiation to disinfect the interior of the cargo bin. The disinfecting light source is allowed to be activated when the door is in the closed state, and is prevented from being activated when the door is in the open state.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2021Date of Patent: May 28, 2024Assignee: Serve Robotics Inc.Inventors: David Gillespie, Colin Janssen, Sean Plaice, Aaron Leiba, Ali Haghighat Kashani

Publication number: 20240137355Abstract: A system and method for providing secure access to an organization's internal resources by an application running on an external network. An agent accepts queries from the application which are passed to a relay with a dynamic filter. The relay establishes a secure connection with a connector through the organization's firewall and passes requests from the application to an authentication service running on the internal network to confirm that a user of the application is authorized and issue an authentication ticket which is returned to the application. The application then sends a request to access a specific internal resource based on the authentication ticket, which is passed to a ticket granting service running on the internal network, to verify that said user is authorized to access the specific internal resource, and, if so, issue a service ticket to grant access the application for that resource.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2022Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventors: David Forrest McNEELY, Peter Gerardus JANSEN, Clifford VAN SLIMMING, Bob JANSSEN

Patent number: 11754676Abstract: Various devices, systems and methods for performing targeted sleep tracking are presented herein. Multiple digital radar data streams from multiple antennas may be received. A direction optimization process may be performed to determine a first weighting and a second weighting. The first weighting may be applied to a first digital radar data stream. The second weighting may be applied to a second digital radar data stream. The weighted first digital radar data stream and the weighted second digital radar data stream may be combined to create a first directionally-targeted radar data stream. A sleep analysis can be performed based on the first directionally-targeted radar data stream. Sleep data may be output for a user based on the performed sleep analysis.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2020Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Dongeek Shin, Michael Dixon, Ajay Kannan, Jeffrey Yu, Ashton Udall, Ken Mixter, Reena Lee, David Janssens, Andrew William Goldenson

Publication number: 20070080049Abstract: Apparatus and method for activating a passive entry system. The motion detector can include a latch input lever, a switch, and a damper. The damper can provide more resistance to the latch input lever in order to transfer motion to the switch in response to fast movement of the door handle. In some embodiments, the motion detector can include a switch actuator, a notched lever, and a switch. Movement of the notched lever can cause the switch actuator to contact the switch. In other embodiments, the motion detector can include a switch actuator, a notched lever, and a magnetic sensor switch. The magnetic sensor switch can include a magnetic switch member that moves in response to a second end of the switch actuator in order to complete a circuit to the passive entry system.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 6, 2005Publication date: April 12, 2007Inventors: Steven Dimig, David Janssen, Erik Esser

Publication number: 20050183476Abstract: Some embodiments of the present invention have a lock bolt extendible and retractable by movement of a power transmission assembly driven by an actuator and having a cam thereon which cams against the lock bolt to retract the lock bolt and unlock the steering column. In some embodiments, the cam has a curved surface with varying distance from the axis of rotation of the cam or pivot to improved lock bolt motion. The cam can have a gradual ramp surface to extract a lock bolt even in binding conditions of the lock bolt. In some embodiments, one or more sensors directly or indirectly connected to the actuator can be used to trigger deactivation of the actuator when the lock bolt has been or can be sufficiently moved to its locked and unlocked positions.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2004Publication date: August 25, 2005Inventors: Michael Feucht, David Janssen, William Schuster

Patent number: 5202580Abstract: A lock for the ignition circuit of an automobile is disclosed. The lock includes a Hall effect sensor element which is activated by a control magnet on the cylinder member of the lock so that when the cylinder is rotated by a key to its start position the Hall effect sensor element is activated. The activation of the sensor element provides one of several starting criteria to an ignition circuit for starting an automobile. An anti-tampering magnet on the cylinder member lies directly under the sensor element in the off position and biases the Hall effect sensor element to its off position so hard that other magnetic forces induced from the exterior of the lock cannot overcome the bias and activate the sensor.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1990Date of Patent: April 13, 1993Assignee: Briggs & StrattonInventor: David Janssen
