  • Patent number: 10978905
Abstract: There are provided systems, apparatuses, and methods for controlling power delivery from an auxiliary power supply. For example, there is provided a method that includes generating a first random number to define a timeout period. During the timeout period, the method may detect whether a voltage is present at an output of an auxiliary power supply, may disable the auxiliary power supply when the voltage is detected at the output, and may enable the auxiliary power supply when the voltage is not detected at the output.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 3, 2018
Date of Patent: April 13, 2021
    Assignee: Current Lighting Solutions, LLC
Inventors: Jessica Lynn Burk, David Joseph Tracy, Nina Rose Scheidegger, Matthew Heida, Tamas Istvan Vegh

  • Patent number: 10015858
Abstract: Provided is a deep dimming control method and a driver control circuit for controlling brightness to a plurality of LEDs, that includes a controller which generates a first pulse width modulation signal, and a second pulse width modulation signal is used to switch between closed loop control and open loop control of the light intensity of the LEDs, and at least one comparator configured to receive the first PWM signal or the second PWM signal from the controller. The comparator compares the first PWM signal to a measured output current signal and regulates the output current to the LEDS in the closed loop control until a predetermined output dimming level is reached. Upon reaching the predetermined output dimming level, the controller generates the second PWM signal to another comparator, and the output current is maintained at a preset value determined by calibration during the closed loop control.

  • Patent number: 8587223
Abstract: A transmitter apparatus and a ballast/driver receiver apparatus are presented for transmitting control information through a lighting system power line connection to a ballast or driver in which the transmitter selectively interrupts power delivery in select AC line power cycles to indicate data of a first binary state an uninterrupted power cycles indicate a second binary state with the receiver decoding the message data bits of different binary states based at least partially on the interruptions.

Inventors: Laszlo Sandor Ilyes, David Joseph Tracy
  • Publication number: 20120283878
Abstract: Flexible and shape adjustable solid state lighting devices and control circuits are presented in which the control circuit selectively phase cuts AC power supplied to the lighting device to send a plurality of data symbols of a message to the lighting device indicating a physical adjustment command or value, and an actuator selectively sets or adjusts a physical condition of the lighting device according to the message.
