  • Patent number: 8860626
Abstract: A radome for covering an open end of a reflector dish of a reflector antenna has a generally planar portion of twin-wall extruded polymer material dimensioned to cover the open end of the reflector dish. A periphery of the planar portion is provided with a plurality of slits, the slits defining a plurality of tabs. The tabs are dimensioned for folding around a rim of the reflector dish. The tabs may be retained in the folded position by, for example, a band clamp or directly coupling a portion of the tabs to the planar portion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 29, 2011
Date of Patent: October 14, 2014
    Assignee: Andrew LLC
Inventors: Ian Renilson, Alastair D. Wright, John S. Curran, David K. Tappin
  • Patent number: 8655409
Abstract: An antenna includes one or more radiofrequency radiating elements for forming a radiofrequency beam and a point-to-point antenna for forming a point-to-point beam. The point-to-point element may be fixed with respect to the antenna's radome. Adjustment of the point-to-point element orientation may be achieved using the antenna mount to adjust the orientation of the point-to-point element and radome together.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 13, 2008
Date of Patent: February 18, 2014
Assignee: CommScope Inc. of North Carolina
Inventors: Kevin E. Linehan, David K. Tappin
