  • Publication number: 20110247913
Abstract: A simple and reliable passive method of temporarily accumulating or buffering objects upon a rotating table at an intermediate point typically between two industrial processes. Wheels are suspended from above the rotating accumulation table surface on a vertical axis causing the accumulated objects to be incrementally deflected toward either the table center or toward the table perimeter. Objects deflected toward the table center accumulate on the rotating table surface. Objects deflected to the perimeter eventually engage a chute where they exit toward the next downstream operation.

  • Publication number: 20110214659
Abstract: This claim is an improvement to existing and commercially available domestic heating systems which consist of an outdoor wood burning stove and boiler which recirculate hot water through radiators located inside an inhabited structure or domicile. The inventor proposes the efficiency and convenience of such ‘outdoor wood burning heating systems’ are substantially improved by the addition of a large storage tank for the heated water and an electronic control system. The claimed improvement allows the firebox to be stoked and ignited at a time convenient to the dwelling occupant. Heated water is stored in an insulated water tank until called upon for heating. Combustion is optimized for maximum efficiency and atmospheric emissions are substantially reduced.

  • Publication number: 20100209218
Abstract: The inventor lays claims to a “continuously rotating and illuminated accumulation table onto which a stream of manufactured objects, such as transparent bottles, are directed from a conveyor.” The rotating accumulation unit is comprised of (three) principle components; a driven disc, a lamp or illumination device, and a flat, smooth translucent accumulation surface. Vertical orientation of objects, such as bottles, is maintained while the illuminated accumulation surface provides backlighting for visual inspection of the objects. This method of simultaneously accumulating and backlighting transparent plastic bottles or similar products provides the dual benefits of improved workplace ergonomics for off-packing as well as an enhanced opportunity to identify and cull products which do not meet quality standards.

  • Publication number: 20100012430
Abstract: The claimed work platform system, alternatively dubbed by the inventor as “Miniscaffold”, provides a compact, versatile, and portable method of supporting workers engaged in various elevated construction or maintenance activities. The claimed work platform rides upon a number of locking floor casters. Each floor caster is mounted to a removable, telescoping support which may be readily relocated inward to accommodate access through narrow aisles or outward to enhance the platform's stability. Each telescoping support is also fitted with an individual jack mechanism to compensate for the inevitable variations in ground or floor elevation typical at construction or work sites. The “Miniscaffold” is also constructed from interlocking square tube members which enhance the work platform's stability and thus eliminate the obtrusive and cumbersome diagonal supports found on most scaffolding.
