  • Patent number: 4106256
Abstract: Adjustable shoring apparatus includes upper and lower pairs of horizontally extending spaced apart parallel chords, a plurality of struts extending obliquely from the upper chord pair to the lower chord pair and between the chords in each pair in a continuous longitudinal series of strut pairs of like substantially V-shaped configuration having their apices at the lower chord pair, means connecting the upper and lower ends of the struts respectively to the chords of the upper and lower pairs in a truss-like structure adapted for supporting a load on the chords of the upper pair, a plurality of vertically extending elongated legs each having a vertical series of support pin holes which extend transversely therethrough, the legs having upper portions inserted between the chords in the lower pair and lower portions extending below the structure to provide support therefor, the legs being vertically reciprocally movable relative to the structure for adjusting the combined height thereof, the strut pairs in said s

  • Patent number: 4102108
Abstract: Fastening means are employed in a load-bearing structure, such structure including structural members adjacent to each other at two spaced apart points, the fastening means being of the threaded bolt and nut type serving to connect the structural members together and to transfer load forces between the members at both points, and including a bolt and a nut each having a head and an integral shank including a cylindrical bearing portion, such shanks being inserted through bolt holes in the structural members and the shank bearing portions being in load-bearing engagement with the members at respective points.

  • Patent number: 4102096
Abstract: A leg brace assembly is employed in combination with adjustable shoring apparatus, such apparatus including a truss-like structure, a vertically extending leg adapted to support the structure and being vertically reciprocally movable relative to the structure for adjusting the combined height thereof, and means for adjustably connecting the leg to the structure at a selected vertical position relative thereto, the leg brace assembly comprising an elongated leg brace member, means for connecting the leg brace member to the structure for swinging movement of the leg brace member about a transverse axis, and means for detachably connecting the leg brace member to the leg at a point spaced below the structure to thereby brace the leg against the structure, whereby the leg brace member may be disconnected from the leg and swung upwardly about said axis to a position wherein the leg brace member is disposed completely above the bottom surface of the structure.

  • Patent number: 4070845
Abstract: A multi-purpose, extruded metal, joist-like, structural member which is designed for use in connection with concrete formwork, the member being generally of I-beam configuration and having associated therewith novel facilities whereby its effective length may beextended in small increments or it may be spliced to adjacent similar members by utilizing either lumber or novel extruded metal extension members of special design.

  • Patent number: 4034957
Abstract: A multi-purpose, extruded metal, joist-like, structural member which is designed for use in connection with concrete formwork, the member being generally of I-beam configuration and having associated therewith novel facilities whereby it may be nailed, bolted, screw-attached, clamped or otherwise secured to various types of support members (either in the form of lumber or structural metal parts) to the end that it assumes a proper operative position within a concrete wall or slab form installation.

  • Patent number: 4030266
Abstract: A multi-purpose, extruded metal, joist-like structural member which is designed for use in connection with concrete formwork, the member being generally of I-beam configuration and having associated therewith novel facilities whereby it may be clamped to various types of support members either in the form of lengths of channel members or lengths of I-beams to the end that it assumes a proper operative position within a concrete wall or slab form installation.
