  • Patent number: 10427761
Abstract: The present system is directed in various embodiments to marine ladders comprising movement assistance for the transition from a deployed position to a stowed position and to assist in controlling the transition from the stowed position to the deployed position. In certain embodiments, the gas springs and associated pivot point brackets hold the deployed ladder biased in the deployed position with a biasing force that may be overcome by application of force by the user to initiate an automatic stowing process. The initial force to initiate the stowing process is provided by the force of water flowing against an aft-mounted ladder as a result of the boat moving forward. In the case of movement assistance from the stowed to deployed position, the user applies force to initiate the transition while the gas springs apply an opposing force that slows the transition for safety.

  • Publication number: 20180079469
Abstract: In one example, a boat includes a deck, a pair of pontoons configured to be attached beneath the deck and configured to support the deck, and a railing configured to be attached on top of the deck. The boat is configured to be arranged within a standard sized shipping container during storage or transport of the boat. In this manner, the boat may be collapsed for storage or transport, and expanded for use in operation of the boat. Thus, the boat may be readily assembled by a purchaser, operator, or other user.

  • Patent number: 8991914
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a device for providing a changing room and/or bathroom space on a watercraft. More specifically, a lounge chair is configured to open either manually or with aid of gas or air shocks in certain embodiments to reveal a changing room and/or bathroom space. On opening, a header bracket is released and deployed, in certain embodiments with aid of gas or air shocks, whereby the privacy curtain's substantially opaque and lightweight fabric is deployed around the revealed space.

  • Patent number: 8944867
Abstract: The invention provides devices and methods for providing a watercraft transom having an adjustable transom height feature allowing optimal matching with the drive shaft of the watercraft's motor. In one embodiment, the adjustable transom height feature comprises two transom height settings to accommodate long or extra long drive shafts or, alternatively short or long or, still more alternatively, short or extra long drive shafts. In another embodiment, the adjustable transom height feature comprises more than two transom height settings, preferably to include matching transom height to known and available outboard motor drive shafts in order to accommodate and virtually optimize any drive shaft length.

  • Patent number: 6719317
Abstract: A self-loading and unloading trailer which can be operated by a single person to load a boat from difficult boat ramps or even directly from the ground provides rollers for engaging a boat. A first set of rollers engages the boat at ground level, enabling the boat to be winched directly from the ground or from a shallow landing. As the boat is loaded, the rollers shift and transfer the load directly to a second set of rollers. Finally, the boat weight shifts the trailer again, causing the rollers to retract, thereby bringing the boat to safely rest on bunks for storage or during transit. In the preferred embodiment, the boat is a pontoon boat, though other appropriate boat hulls are contemplated for use with the present invention.
