  • Patent number: 10427476
Abstract: A tire which is intended to bear heavy loads and the endurance of which is improved. The tire contains, in the bead region, at least one internal annular insert, the said insert having a rubber composition containing a polyisoprene elastomer, between 45 phr and 60 phr of a reinforcing filler containing from 43 to 55 phr of a reinforcing inorganic filler with a BET specific surface of between 155 and 185 m2/g, and a coupling agent for bonding the reinforcing inorganic filler to the elastomer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 13, 2013
Date of Patent: October 1, 2019
Assignees: COMPAGNIE GENERALE DES ETABLISSEMENTS MICHELIN, MICHELIN RECHERCHE ET TECHNIQUE S.A.

  • Patent number: 8950456
Abstract: An assembly including a tire having beads, said bead axially including outside the turn-up a layer of a material defining a bead outer profile, such that the distance A, between the carcass frame and the bead outer profile, is as defined in formula (Z), B being the distance between the end of the turn-up, said bead including first and second profiles between the carcass frame and the turn-up, the first profile extends from the bead wire and is made of a material having an extension secant modulus at a 10% elongation higher than 20 MPa, a second profile arranged in the bead such as to be in contact with a surface of the first profile and the turn-up, made of a material having an extension secant modulus at a 10% elongation of at least 7 MPa and an extension secant modulus at a 100*% extension of at least 4.5 MPa.

  • Publication number: 20120175033
Abstract: A rubber composition based on at least a diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler and a crosslinking system, characterized in that it comprises at least 10 to 150 phr of a platy filler and from 0.01 to 0.3 phr of a metal salt. This composition has good processing and mechanical properties, and also improved oxygen impermeability properties over a wide temperature range, from ambient temperatures when the tire is stationary up to the temperatures of the tire when it is running. According to one preferred embodiment, the rubber composition described above can be used in the tire as a protective elastomer layer in at least one part of the tire.
