Publication number: 20240140487Abstract: The present disclosure provides autonomous vehicle systems and methods that include or otherwise leverage a machine-learned yield model. In particular, the machine-learned yield model can be trained or otherwise configured to receive and process feature data descriptive of objects perceived by the autonomous vehicle and/or the surrounding environment and, in response to receipt of the feature data, provide yield decisions for the autonomous vehicle relative to the objects. For example, a yield decision for a first object can describe a yield behavior for the autonomous vehicle relative to the first object (e.g., yield to the first object or do not yield to the first object). Example objects include traffic signals, additional vehicles, or other objects. The motion of the autonomous vehicle can be controlled in accordance with the yield decisions provided by the machine-learned yield model.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Colin Jeffrey Green, Wei Liu, David McAllister Bradley, Vijay Subramanian

Patent number: 11960832Abstract: Machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other computer-implemented methods are used to identify various semantically important chunks in documents, automatically label them with appropriate datatypes and semantic roles, and use this enhanced information to assist authors and to support downstream processes. Chunk locations, datatypes, and semantic roles can often be automatically determined from what is here called “context”, to wit, the combination of their formatting, structure, and content; those of adjacent or nearby content; overall patterns of occurrence in a document, and similarities of all these things across documents (mainly but not exclusively among documents in the same document set).Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2022Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: Docugami, Inc.Inventors: Andrew Paul Begun, Steven DeRose, Taqi Jaffri, Luis Marti Orosa, Michael B. Publication number: 20240119586Abstract: We disclose the generation and training of Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) to synthesize clinical images with skin conditions. Synthetic images for a pre-specified skin condition are generated, while being able to vary its size, location and the underlying skin color. We demonstrate that the generated images are of high fidelity using objective GAN evaluation metrics. The synthetic images are not only visually similar to real images, but also embody the respective skin conditions. Additionally, synthetic skin images can be used as a data augmentation technique for training a skin condition classifier, and improve the ability of the classifier to detect rare but malignant conditions.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 13, 2020Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventors: Vivek Natarajan, Yuan Liu, David Coz, Amirata Ghorbani
