  • Publication number: 20240156345
Abstract: A portable device for detecting a large vessel occlusion in a patient's brain by transmitting a signal into both sides of the brain and receiving the reflections of the transmitted signals to capture a single reflection data point of the characteristics of the blood vessels and brain tissue on both sides of the brain. Using the captured single reflection data point values to perform a comparative analysis between the right and left side of the brain, and based on this analysis, assessing whether the patient is experiencing a large vessel occlusion. If so, the device generates an alert.

  • Publication number: 20050270679
Abstract: A motion control system has an enclosed assembly that encloses moving parts. A controller controls a motion of the moving parts and has an inhibit input that inhibits the motion. A sensor provides sensor outputs that depend on an assembly temperature and an assembly humidity in the enclosed assembly. A circuit provides a condensing condition output as a function of the sensor outputs. The condensing condition output couples to the inhibit input to inhibit the motion as a function of the sensor outputs.

  • Publication number: 20050191172
Abstract: An inducer rotor rotatably mountable in an inducer for pressurizing fluid traveling through the inducer. The inducer rotor includes a hub. The hub has a central axis and a plurality of blades extending radially outward from the hub. Each blade extends from a root portion that is next to the hub, to a tip portion that is opposite the root. The rotor further includes a shroud extending circumferentially between each pair of adjacent blades within the plurality of blades. The shroud has an inner surface facing the central axis and an outer surface that is opposite the inner surface. Between the inner and outer surface of the shroud is defined a thickness. The shroud thickness varies circumferentially around the shroud.

  • Patent number: 6731442
Abstract: A method is disclosed for detecting defects in a recordable medium such as a hard disc drive based on error energy. The method may include the steps of writing test data to the medium and reading back the test data. The method may also include the steps of computing an error energy based on the square of the difference between the read back data and an ideal version of the test data and comparing the error energy with an energy threshold. The method generates a defect signal when the error energy exceeds the energy threshold. The method may also be used to identify the media defect according to its error energy profile. An apparatus for detecting defects in a recordable medium is also disclosed.
