Abstract: A beverage container including a beverage compartment, an ice compartment in heat exchange contact with the beverage compartment, a handle and a cap. The beverage compartment opens upward. The ice compartment opens downward and is quickly filled by holding the container inverted and scooping the opening into crushed ice. The handle is specially configured for both upright and inverted use. It is placed in a balanced location relative to the midpoint of the container and designed with sufficient thickness that it can be gripped tightly with comfort as needed when scooping ice. The cap makes a watertight seal to close the ice compartment and form a base for the container when it is upright. The container is formed of an impact resistant material to resist repeated scooping impacts with ice and preferably forms the two compartments as an integral one-piece compartment.
