  • Patent number: 11951661
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process and article produced by injection molding. More particularly, a process and article produced by injection molding, that provides a part with one or more locations of a reduced density where such part competes in mechanical property characteristics with parts, such as vehicular components, otherwise produced from metallic materials.

Assignee: International Automotive Components Group NA, Inc.
Inventors: Friedrich Rudolf Kralits, Sandor Palvoelgyi, David Mark Pascoe, Susan M. Kozora, Benedetto Reginella
  • Publication number: 20220407514
Abstract: A multi-value selection switch that includes an engagement surface with an integrated touch sensor. The integrated touch sensor includes a plurality of detectable positions that correspond to, for instance, a range of absolute or relative target input values between a predefined minimum and maximum. The engagement surface further defines a switch that actuates/activates based on detecting a user-supplied force and/or based on a user momentarily holding a finger/pointer position. A user can select a target input value by bringing a finger or other pointer within operable proximity of an associated detectable position and actuating the switch and/or momentarily pausing. In response, the selection switch outputs a control signal to an associated device to cause the same to adjust operation.

  • Publication number: 20070158119
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle having first, second, third and fourth drivable wheels includes an internal combustion engine selectively drivingly coupled to the first and second wheels. A first electric motor is selectively drivingly coupled to the third vehicle wheel. A second electric motor is selectively drivingly coupled to the fourth vehicle wheel.

  • Patent number: 6325397
Abstract: A power retractable running board assembly for a motor vehicle includes a substantially sealed housing assembly, a running board, a parallel linkage, a gear assembly, and a motor assembly. The running board presents an upper load carrying surface. The gear assembly is disposed in the sealed housing assembly and coupled to an arm of the parallel linkage. The motor assembly is drivingly coupled with the gear assembly and is constructed and arranged to pivot the running board between deployed and stored positions.

  • Patent number: 5997069
Abstract: The present invention is a removable vehicle seat assembly for use with a motor vehicle having an interior floor structure with at least a portion thereof covered by a yieldingly deformable material. A latch and release assembly is operatively associated with a riser support structure. The latch and release assembly is configured to be engaged with front and rear anchor members of the interior floor structure and releasably locked in one of a range of releasably locked positions. The latch and release assembly is constructed to be engaged with the front and rear anchor members and releasably locked in an initial one of the range of releasably locked positions.
