    Abstract: An injector system includes a source of injection fluid, a pump device, a fluid path set disposed between the source of injection fluid and the pump device, and a fluid control device operatively associated with the fluid path set. The fluid control device is adapted to permit purging of air from the fluid path set and to stop flow of the injection fluid to a patient at substantially any pressure or flow rate generated by the pump device for delivering a sharp bolus of the injection fluid to the patient. The fluid control device is preferably part of the fluid path set between the source of injection fluid and the pump device.

    Abstract: An adapter for use with a powered injector imparts agitating motion to a syringe, which is connectable to the powered injector. The powered injector includes a drive member to impart motion to a plunger slidably disposed within the syringe. The adapter includes an injector attachment mechanism to attach the adapter to the powered injector and a syringe interface to attach the syringe to the adapter. The adapter preferably further includes an intermediate drive member having a drive attachment to attach the intermediate drive member to the drive member of the powered injector and a plunger attachment member to attach the intermediate drive member to the syringe plunger. The intermediate drive member is operable to translate motion of the drive member of the powered injector to the syringe plunger. The adapter also includes at least one powered agitator to provide agitating motion the syringe interface.

The holding assembly may include a fixed support and a movable support, which maintain the medical fluid container in the holding assembly. The movable support may be a resiliently biased support arm or an adjustable strap.

    Abstract: A syringe includes a body and a plunger disposed therein. The body includes a nozzle formed therein and at least one hub member connected thereto or integrally formed thereon for holding an end of a connector tube. The connector tube includes two ends, each end preferably being connected to a respective hub member to retain the connector tube in contact with the syringe. Preferably, the syringe and the connector tube are packaged in a pre-connected condition for ease of use by the customer. Furthermore, flexible inlet tubing for connection to a syringe for filling the syringe with contrast media, for example, is described. The inlet tubing permits filling of the syringe from either a bag or a bottle and may remain attached to the syringe so that it forms at least a part of the connection to the patient. In addition, an apparatus for facilitating the purge of air from a connector tube that will ultimately be connected between a syringe and a patient is described.
