Abstract: A detergent composition containing an organosilane is capable of imparting soil release benefits to hard surfaces washed therewith. Soil adheres to such surfaces less strongly thereby making them easier to clean. The detergent composition can be formulated for use in a wide range of applications, e.g., as a light duty liquid composition, rinse aid, oven cleaner, window cleaner, automatic dishwasher composition, car wash detergent composition or toilet bowl cleaner.

Abstract: A rinse aid composition containing an organosilane and a low molecular weight monofunctional organic acid is capable of imparting soil release benefits to cooking utensils and tableware rinsed therewith. Food soils adhere to such surfaces less strongly, thereby making them easier to clean. The inclusion of the monofunctional organic acid insures that objectionable spotting or filming does not form on the rinsed objects.
