    Abstract: An effective method to control aflatoxin produced by toxic strains of Aspergillus parasiticus fungi is disclosed. An effective amount of Beta-ionone is applied to said fungi to inhibit the growth and sporulation of the fungi and thereby control production of aflatoxin from the fungi without killing the fungi.
