  • Patent number: 11959485
Abstract: Compressor rotor structure and methodology for harmonizing compressor aerodynamics and rotordynamics are provided. Disclosed embodiments benefit from a compressor design effective for improving rotordynamics (e.g., stiffer rotor structure) without reducing a usable aerodynamics range of the compressor. This design may involve variation of the rotor structure along the rotor axis to locate respective surfaces defined by respective inlets of the one or more impellers at a varying distance relative to the rotor axis based on respective ratios selected for the configuration of the impeller bodies. This arrangement may be effective for improving rotordynamics while satisfactorily meeting the respective varying aerodynamics requirements at the various compression stages by the impeller bodies.

  • Publication number: 20240112824
Abstract: A system configured to monitor the structural health of reactor vessel internals of a nuclear reactor is disclosed herein. The system includes a memory configured to store historical information associated with past performance of the nuclear reactor, and an anomaly detection subsystem including a control circuit configured to receive a signal from a sensor. The anomaly detection subsystem is configured to determine, via the control circuit, a characteristic of a vibrational response of the reactor vessel internals based, at least in part, on the signal; access, via the control circuit, the historical information stored in the memory; compare, via the control circuit, the determined characteristic to the historical information stored in the memory; and determine, via the control circuit, a condition of the reactor vessel internals based, at least in part, on the comparison of the determined characteristic and the historical information.

  • Publication number: 20240112669
Abstract: Systems and methods for selectively ignoring an occurrence of a wakeword within audio input data is provided herein. In some embodiments, a wakeword may be detected to have been uttered by an individual within a modified time window, which may account for hardware delays and echoing offsets. The detected wakeword that occurs during this modified time window may, in some embodiments, correspond to a word included within audio that is outputted by a voice activated electronic device. This may cause the voice activated electronic device to activate itself, stopping the audio from being outputted. By identifying when these occurrences of the wakeword within outputted audio are going to happen, the voice activated electronic device may selectively determine when to ignore the wakeword, and furthermore, when not to ignore the wakeword.

  • Patent number: 11922095
Abstract: A system may use multiple speech interface devices to interact with a user by speech. All or a portion of the speech interface devices may detect a user utterance and may initiate speech processing to determine a meaning or intent of the utterance. Within the speech processing, arbitration is employed to select one of the multiple speech interface devices to respond to the user utterance. Arbitration may be based in part on metadata that directly or indirectly indicates the proximity of the user to the devices, and the device that is deemed to be nearest the user may be selected to respond to the user utterance.

  • Patent number: 11893852
Abstract: An electronic gaming machine architecture is provided in which a gaming platform application and wagering game applications are executed in separate processes but may share access to common display windows; such display windows may be caused to be generated by the gaming platform application, which may then assign specific display windows to the various wagering game applications, along with window handles usable to direct graphical content thereto. The wagering game applications may then direct graphical content to the display windows, while the gaming platform application may retain control over the size, position, transparency, and/or z-order of the display windows.

  • Publication number: 20230384775
Abstract: The subject matter herein provides for AI-based prediction of production defects in association with a production system, such as a semiconductor manufacturing machine. In one embodiment, a method begins by receiving production data from the production system. The production data typically comprises non-homogeneous machine parameters and maintenance data, quality test data, and product and process data. Using the production data, a neural network is trained to model an operation of a given machine in the production system. Preferably, the training involves multi-task learning, transfer learning (e.g., using knowledge obtained with respect to a machine of the same type as the given machine), and a combination of multi-task learning and transfer learning. Once the model is trained, it is associated with the given machine operating environment, wherein it is used to provide quality assurance predictions.

  • Publication number: 20230265955
Abstract: A valve device (20) includes male and female housings (22, 24) that together define a fluid through-passage (28). The male and female housings have, respectively, exterior and interior annular channels (22a, 24a). The male housing is receivable into the female housing such that the exterior and interior annular channels together define a toroidal tube. First and second valve elements (30,32) are disposed, respectively, in the male and female housings. Ball locks (36) are receivable into the toroidal tube and axially lock the male and female housings together. A lock (40) engageable when the first and second valve elements are in functional alignment and which when engaged rotationally locks the male and female housings.
