  • Publication number: 20240139516
Abstract: A system includes memory, and processing circuitry coupled to the memory, the processing circuitry configured to: determine at least one of: a cross-electrical signal measurement at a first electrode on a first lead implanted within a tongue of the patient based on a stimulation signal between a second electrode on the first lead or a second lead implanted within the tongue of the patient and a third electrode, or a strain measurement of at least one of the first lead or the second lead. The processing circuitry is configured to determine movement of the tongue based on at least one of the cross-electrical signal measurement or the strain measurement, and generate information indicative of the movement of the tongue.

  • Patent number: 11967250
Abstract: Disclosed is an eye simulator device, wherein same is a medical training aid and includes: an eyepiece having a display configured to project at least one image onto or through a convex shaped front surface of a simulated eyeball of the eyepiece; a support configured to hold the eyepiece; a simulated eyelid pivotally attached to the support; and an actuator assembly having an actuator arm and an electromagnetic (EM) coil in connection with the actuator arm, so as to control a motion of the simulated eyelid, which allows to more realistically mimic the eye, and to more intuitively mimic a motion change of the eye, and it is illustratable to show a change process of the eye by projecting an eye condition, making it easier for a student to understand.

  • Patent number: 6754221
Abstract: A gateway for communicating telecommunication information between a telecommunication network and customer premises equipment, includes a telecommunication interface, a management module, compression modules, and packetization modules. The telecommunication interface receives telecommunication information from the telecommunication network for communication to the customer premises equipment. The management module determines a bandwidth available to communicate the telecommunication information to the customer premises equipment and selects a compression algorithm according to the available bandwidth. The compression modules compress the telecommunication information using the selected compression algorithm, and the packetization modules generate data packets for communicating the telecommunication information.

The apparatus is constructed of lightweight, flexible material, such as webbed nylon and is capable of being worn on the back of a person, as a backpack. The apparatus has a U-shaped bottom support panel which supports the bottom and sides of at least one folded hose. The back of the folded hose is supported by a vertical support strap which lies against the back of the person wearing the apparatus. An upper horizontal strap and lower horizontal strap extend from the vertical back support strap around the folded hose to secure the folded hose to the apparatus. At least one anchor strap is attached to the bosom of the apparatus and the lower horizontal strap preventing the folded hose from slipping out of the bottom of the apparatus.
