  • Patent number: 10042381
Abstract: A mechanical or lockable device is operated based on the use of wireless transmission (electrical data connection or mechanical tapping) to a key housing. The key housing converts the transmission (a first transmission) into a code and checks if the code is correct. If so, a mechanical press of a button on a key fixedly held in place in the housing is made. The key is a further wireless transmitter which transmits, via a second transmission, a code to move a mechanical object, such as a latch in a car door lock or a garage door. In this manner, two wireless transmissions are made to two different receivers, causing two different mechanical movements, in sequence.

  • Patent number: 9798349
Abstract: A resilient ball is placed on a button to be pressed. The ball rises above the rest of the surface of a device with a button, so that a plate which pushes down on the device presses first against the ball, and presses the button there-beneath. A user can place the ball on a button of his/her choice and insert it in a housing, so that, when the plate is pushed downward, it will, in turn, cause the chosen button to be pressed. The plate is held with a dowel on one end, extending past the plate thereof at another end and into portals which are part of, or fixed to, the housing. The compressible ball is thus positioned between the plate and the button to be pressed, the device abutting the housing and/or a fixed plate on its other side.

  • Patent number: 6827462
Abstract: An assembly and apparatus having a night light and adapted to provide electrical power to a portable electrical device. In one aspect, the invention is an apparatus for connecting a portable electrical device to a power source through an electrical outlet, the apparatus comprising: a housing compartment having an electroluminescent cell disposed on said housing compartment; a circuit within said housing compartment, said electroluminescent cell electrically connected to said circuit; means for electrically connecting said circuit to said electrical outlet; and means for electrically connecting said circuit to a port of said portable electrical device. Alternatively, the apparatus comprises a lamp instead of an electrolumiscent cell and the means for electrically connecting said circuit to said electrical outlet is a power cord. In yet another aspect, the invention is an assembly comprising said apparatus above and said portable electrical device.
