  • Publication number: 20230405159
Abstract: Methods and systems for modifying a temperature of a product to be sterilized while the product is in a sterilization chamber. Temperature modification may be achieved through air circulation, through manipulation of a temperature of one or more walls of the sterilization chamber, and/or through manipulation of pressure within the sterilization chamber. Using the capabilities of the sterilization chamber to accelerate product warming may reduce the time required to warm a product to be sterilized from a refrigerated state to a temperature at which sterilization is to be performed. After sterilization, the product may also be cooled in the sterilization chamber.

  • Publication number: 20230364286
Abstract: Methods and systems for sterilizing medical devices including, but not limited to, a pre-filled syringe. A method for sterilizing a pre-filled syringe may comprise placing the pre-filled syringe in a sterilization chamber and performing a plurality of pulsed sterilization steps. Each pulsed sterilization step may comprise drying the sterilization chamber, humidifying the sterilization chamber, evacuating the sterilization chamber to a target pressure, introducing a quantity of NO2 to the sterilization chamber from a buffer tank that is selectively fluidly linked to the sterilization chamber, passing a predetermined quantity of air through the buffer tank and into the sterilization chamber to aid in rinsing NO2 from the buffer tank into the sterilization chamber, and after the quantity of air is passed through the buffer tank, holding the sterilization chamber for a dwell period at a dwell pressure.

  • Patent number: 10602799
Abstract: An athletic shoe with an energy return system is provided. The shoe includes a shoe sole assembly having a midsole, at least one stabilizer plug in a recess in the midsole, and at least one outsole member. In an aspect, the stabilizer plug has at least one trampoline recess disposed in an upper surface thereof, and at least one projection extending from a lower surface thereof that substantially underlies at least a portion of the at least one trampoline recess. An upper surface of the outsole is adapted to complimentarily receive the at least one projection extending from the lower stabilizer plug surface such that when a force is applied to the lower outsole surface during a foot strike, the at least one trampoline recess receives underlying portions of the stabilizer plug to accommodate elastic deflection of the underlying portions of the stabilizer plug and the outsole.

  • Publication number: 20200069008
Abstract: Cane fabric-wraps are attachable and removable stretch fabric/foam wraps that once applied to a standard walking cane add new features to the cane and alter the shape, color and overall appearance of a traditional cane silhouette. The cane fabric wraps can have reflective elements for nighttime visibility on the front or visible surface, permanent address labels on the back or hidden surface and silicon material pieces (on the back surface) to prevent the wrap from sliding downwards when the cane is in use. The fabric wraps are typically secured to the cane with a three-step process. First with a snap at the top edge, secondly with a full-length hook & loop tape, and thirdly with a snap at the bottom edge. These three steps allow for installation onto the cane and removal from the cane. The overall shape of the wrap is designed to provide a large area for a variety of design and color application and also room for the reflective elements to be placed.

  • Patent number: 7441351
Abstract: The present invention provides articles of footwear for use by firefighters in different activities such as emergency and rescue situations, as well as daily activity in and around the firehouse. Integrated handles enable the firefighter to quickly and easily put the article of footwear on while minimizing the possibility of accidentally catching on equipment, apparel or debris. Locking bands that wrap around the upper are used to adjust for comfort and a secure fit. A dual lacing and zipper system enables the firefighter to initially adjust for fit by selectively tightening the lace, while the zipper provides a quick means for securing the article of footwear. Different outsole lug configurations are suitable for different surfaces, wet, dry and of varying and extreme temperatures. Added protection is available with a tibia/shin protector and ankle protectors.
