Publication number: 20160287039Abstract: A strip curtain cleaning system which permits an operator to easily and quickly clean both sides of hanging curtain strips in a single operation using a fabric cover disposed in sock-like covering relation to a two-armed frame defining a tortuous path gap for receipt of one or more curtain strips. The device facilitates cleaning both faces of individual strip elements simultaneously. Different covers may be used for different curtain types and environments.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 29, 2016Publication date: October 6, 2016Inventors: David P. Nobile, Jackson S. Burnett, III, Pier E. deJong

Publication number: 20130032503Abstract: A containment package for presaturated wiper sheets including a substantially liquid and vapor impermeable body having an interior adapted to receive and store a plurality of wiper sheets presaturated with a solution subject to evaporation. The body includes an access opening adapted for insertion and withdrawal of the wiper sheets through the access opening. At least a first sealing element defining a magnet is supported on a first support structure at a position outside of the interior. At least a second sealing element with magnetic attraction to the first sealing element is disposed on a second support structure at a position outside of the interior.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 3, 2012Publication date: February 7, 2013Applicant: Contec, Inc.Inventor: David P. Nobile

Patent number: 7882589Abstract: A mop system for cleanroom use incorporating an autoclavable mop head adapted for snap-on, pressure fit attachment to a frame member having a pair of substantially planar free end portions. The mop head incorporates raised profile insert elements engaging free end portions of the frame member. The mop head is also optionally adapted to retain a dusting cloth or other web structure in removable relation across its surface.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2009Date of Patent: February 8, 2011Assignee: Contec, Inc.Inventors: David P. Nobile, Jackson S. Burnett, III

Patent number: 6220435Abstract: A system for dispensing presaturated wiper sheets for use in various industrial and manufacturing situations includes a reusable dispenser canister and at least one refill package of wiper sheets. The dispensing canister may include a receptacle base, and a lid threaded onto the base. A gasket, such as an annular disc of compressible foam material, may be interposed between the base and lid. The lid includes an integral cap unit which defines a storage well and a cap element. An aperture, through which a portion of the leading sheet extends, is defined in a bottom portion of the storage well. The well is preferably deep enough so that the wiper portion can be relatively long, without interfering with closing of the cap element. The cap unit is designed to provide a relatively tight seal when the cap element is closed. A lip protrudes up at an acute angle from a main cap portion of the cap element to facilitate opening of the cap element, even by a gloved worker.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 1998Date of Patent: April 24, 2001Assignee: Contec, Inc.Inventors: David P. Nobile, Melvin D. Barutha

Patent number: 5346287Abstract: A swab having an absorbent end comprising a material strip of tubular knit fabric wrapped with a first blind end, helically to a tip and reverse helically to a termination point distal from the tip provides low contamination for use in clean room processes. Lost fibers or lint are precluded by the trapped fiber edges of the material strip forming the absorbent tip of the swab while burying of the first end of the material strip in the blind wrap and combined sealing, severing, and adhering of the second end of the material strip to complete the swab distal from the tip, further precludes fiber contamination.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 1993Date of Patent: September 13, 1994Assignee: The Morgan Crucible Company plcInventors: Simon W. Burrow, David P. Nobile
