  • Patent number: 11974410
Abstract: Aspects discussed herein include an electronic device and an associated connector interface. The electronic device comprises an enclosure that defines an internal volume, a plurality of external surfaces, and a recess from an external surface of the plurality of external surfaces. The recess has circumferential slot(s) extending to the external surface and that receive flange(s) of an external connector. The electronic device further comprises a connector interface connected with one or more electronic components disposed in the internal volume. The connector interface comprises first conductor(s) that are exposed at the recess. While the flange(s) are received in the circumferential slot(s), rotation of the external connector causes the flange(s) to slide within the circumferential slot(s) into a retained position, in which second conductor(s) of the external connector, having a fixed disposition relative to the flange(s), are connected to the first conductor(s).

  • Patent number: 7620029
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to cell acquisition techniques for telecommunication systems that implement FDMA and TDMA techniques, such as GSM systems. The techniques make efficient use of processing time in order to accelerate the cell acquisition process. Upon acquiring synchronization information of a first cell of an FDMA system, the timing for the acquisition of cell identification (ID) information associated with the first cell can be scheduled based on the synchronization information of the first cell. Synchronization information of a second cell of the FDMA system can then be acquired prior to acquiring the cell ID information associated with the first cell. Moreover, synchronization information of a additional cells may similarly be acquired prior to acquiring the cell ID information associated with the first cell. In this manner, efficient use of processing time can be achieved between the acquisition of synchronization information and the acquisition of cell ID information.

  • Publication number: 20080002604
Abstract: Techniques for scheduling measurements for cells in multiple (e.g., GSM and W-CDMA) wireless communication systems are described. GSM neighbor cells are categorized based on a number of states. The states are prioritized in a manner to achieve good performance. The GSM neighbor cells are thus assigned different priorities depending on their states. W-CDMA neighbor cells are prioritized relative to the states for GSM cells. All W-CDMA neighbor cells can be assigned the same state, given the same priority, and considered as “one” W-CDMA cell in the scheduling. A cell in the GSM or W-CDMA system is selected based on the priorities of the neighbor cells, and the selected cell is scheduled for measurement in the next available frame. The highest-ranking GSM or W-CDMA cell for each idle frame is thus granted use of that idle frame for measurement.
