    Abstract: A thread-milling cutter includes a cutting head with cutting insert pockets and thread-milling inserts received in respective pockets. An attachment portion integral with the cutting head is received in a drive coupling. Each insert includes a recess forming an abutment surface that is engaged by a screw to secure the insert in the pocket. The abutment surface is inclined in a manner causing the screw to push the insert deeper into the pocket.
