  • Publication number: 20240016124
Abstract: A collection device that is particularly suited for resiliently supporting a bag for the upright collection of excrement from an animal, such as a dog, by a user for subsequent disposal is presented. The device includes an elongated portion that extends between a first end and a second end. The first end includes a portion to facilitate holding the device, such as a handle. The handle is the terminal portion of the first end of the elongated portion formed as a loop and fastened to itself with a fastener. The elongated portion is configured to allow the user to remain standing for collection of the animal excrement as the animal is in the excreting position. A ring is attached to the second end of the elongated portion. The ring is configured to removably attach a bag thereto.

  • Publication number: 20180258749
Abstract: A bladeless conical radial rotary machine method and system are disclosed. Turbo-machinery and methods are disclosed for a bladeless conical radial rotary machine wherein fluid is directed axially within the pump body to produce an axial output. The rotor comprises a plurality of spaced apart conical elements. The fluid is smoothly directed to any number of subsequent boundary layer pumping stages which are axially positioned with respect to each other. The fluid is smoothly directed to any number of subsequent boundary layer pumping stages which are axially positioned with respect to each other. A coupling between pumping stages is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7192244
Abstract: Turbo-machinery and methods are disclosed for a bladeless conical radial turbine wherein fluid is directed axially within the pump body to produce an axial output. The rotor comprises a plurality of spaced apart conical elements. A plurality of spiraling flow paths may be provided to receive fluid to which fluid has been imparted by acceleration of the fluid through the spaces between the conical elements using boundary layer adhesion techniques. The fluid is smoothly directed to any number of subsequent boundary layer pumping stages which are axially positioned with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 5249452
Abstract: A master brake die has a pair of adjustable die shoes. First and second shim packages each having a plurality of shims of a preselected width are positioned adjacent a respective die shoe and moveable therewith. A preselected number of shims from each shim package is controllably moved into an operative position between a stop surface and a respective die shoe.

  • Patent number: 5018705
Abstract: Automatic cutting machines carry flame cutting torches in close proximity of a work piece and can force the torch into contact with an upturned cut away piece from the work piece, causing considerable damage to the cutting apparatus. The subject apparatus provides a break away torch holder having a housing surrounding a torch tube which is mounted in an adaptor. The adaptor has a pilot that matches a pilot seat in the housing. The pilot is held in the pilot seat by resilient means that allows the torch tube to move with respect to the housing when the torch strikes an upturned cut away piece. A switch means is provided to shut the cutting machine down when the torch tube means is in the housing. Sealing means is also provided to protect the piloting apparatus and switch means from the debris of the cutting action.
