  • Publication number: 20240144150
Abstract: A management server measures network activity of user devices to determine activities of the users associated with each user device. The management server generates digital model personas corresponding to the users based on one or more activities of the user. The management server clusters the digital model personas to generate user groups based on similar activities, and compares a first digital model persona from a first user with at least one second digital model persona.

  • Publication number: 20240146824
Abstract: A network management system tests the availability of a network resource before a user performs a task with the network resource. The system measures network activity of a user performing one or more tasks. The network activity includes communication between a user device of the user and each network resource associated with a corresponding task performed by the user. The system also generates a digital model persona of the user based on the tasks performed by the user, and determines a schedule of the tasks performed the user. Each particular task is associated with a corresponding execution time for the user. The system further configures the digital model persona to test the network resource associated with each corresponding task at a testing time that is a predetermined length of time prior to the execution time for the user.

  • Patent number: 11163086
Abstract: An oil-based mud wellbore imaging apparatus for measuring formation permittivity and resistivity includes a reflectometry-type microwave scanning system. The system contains at least one high-Q microstrip resonator with one or more slots on the top surface. The microstrip resonator is excited by one port, which is fed with electromagnetic signals by a coaxial cable. From the phase detection of signal at the port, the formation resistivity and permittivity can be determined and corresponding borehole images can be generated.

  • Patent number: 10756575
Abstract: A wireless power transfer system may provide coils that are respectively position on upper and lower ends of a pipe to allow power to be wirelessly transferred. Additionally, the system may also provide a soft ferrite layer placed on the upper and lower pipe sections to enhance the magnetic coupling so that the wireless power transfer efficiency can be maintained at a sufficient level when the coil separation is relatively large. Notably, this ferrite layer may span most or the entirely of the region between the coils to further enhance performance. In some cases, a ferrite core may be position between the coils and the pipe as well. In some cases, the pipe may include a tool section that may be non-conductive or results in a discontinuity in the ferrite layer. However, the setup of the system allows power to be wirelessly transferred despite such discontinuity.

  • Publication number: 20030196004
Abstract: A device and method for servicing data requests from a processor or other input/output interface in a multi-processor environment by accessing a full or partial cache line of data. A system data chip is used to access the cache line of data using a bit pattern supplied by a system address chip. This access and transmission of data to the processor or the input/output interface is controlled by a control/status unit in the system data chip based on the value of control valid signals which include a first valid (DxV) signal and a second valid (CxV) signal. Also, data may be stored and retrieved in a first data format (linear chunk order) or a second data format (critical chunk order). When control by the control/status unit is based on the DxV signal value, a read of a data chunk may occur immediately after a write to temporary storage if the data is in the same chunk order and a merge or combination operation is not taking place.

  • Patent number: 6085325
Abstract: An apparatus for managing power in an electronic device that receives the power from a bus is described. The apparatus comprises a clock enable circuit that disables a clock that generates nominal clock frequencies derived from raw frequencies output by an oscillator upon receiving a first signal. A time-wise independent time reference circuit is coupled to the clock enable circuit. The time-wise independent time reference circuit sends the first signal to the clock enable circuit a first predetermined period of time after receiving a signal to enter into a suspend state.

  • Patent number: 5536609
Abstract: A toner image is transferred to a heat softened thermoplastic outer layer of a receiving sheet. The toner is transferred from an image member predominantly by heating the receiving sheet to a temperature which both softens the thermoplastic layer and, when the thermoplastic layer contacts the toner, sinters the toner sufficiently to cause toner to adhere both to the thermoplastic layer and to other particles of toner. To prevent blistering, the temperature to which the thermoplastic layer must be raised can be lowered, for example, to 100 degrees C. by also heating the image member to a temperature, above ambient, but less than the temperature that would either do damage to the image member or cause the toner to stick to it.

  • Patent number: 5475286
Abstract: A deflection apparatus comprises a deflection amplifier coupled to a deflection waveform modulation circuit such as a diode modulator. A source for generating a modulation signal. The modulation signal comprises a symmetrical periodic AC component having equal first and second portions of a trace period. A feedback amplifier alters the amplitude of a first portion of the trace period relative to a second portion of the trace period to render the AC component asymmetrical. The asymmetrical AC component is coupled to the deflection waveform modulation circuit for deflection waveform modulation.

  • Patent number: 5355058
Abstract: A deflection apparatus comprises a deflection amplifier coupled to a deflection waveform modulation circuit such as a diode modulator. An East-West modulation signal is generated by a digital to analog convertor in accordance with a reference potential coupled thereto. The modulation signal has a DC component for width control, and is coupled to an input of a comparator. The reference potential is also coupled to an input of the comparator to establish a reference bias therefor. The comparator has an output coupled to the deflection waveform modulation circuit to provide the East-West modulation.

  • Patent number: 5323092
Abstract: A deflection apparatus comprises a deflection amplifier coupled to a deflection waveform modulation circuit such as a diode modulator. A source for generating a modulation signal. The modulation signal comprises an AC component and a DC component, each having levels which define an amplitude ratio. An amplifier alters the amplitude ratio, and the altered amplitude ratio signal is coupled to the deflection waveform modulation circuit for deflection waveform modulation.

  • Patent number: 5118999
Abstract: A projection television receiver has a cathode ray tube with an electron gun for emitting an electron beam incident on a screen, an electromagnetic deflection yoke and an electromagnetic focusing coil. A horizontal deflection driving circuit is coupled to a horizontal deflection coil and provides deflection current to the horizontal deflection coil for scanning the beam repetitively on the screen. The focusing coil is driven from a current step-down transformer having a primary winding coupled in series with the horizontal deflection coil. A secondary winding of the transformer is coupled to the focusing coil for driving the focusing coil with a horizontal rate parabolic current. A capacitor-resistor circuit is coupled in parallel with the focusing coil and with the secondary winding of the transformer for adjusting a phase relationship of the parabolic current relative to the horizontal deflection current and for adjusting the amplitude of the parabolic current.
