  • Patent number: 10684988
Abstract: A radio frequency dataset generation system comprising a software-defined radio, a set of radio frequency collection parameters, a first digital file, a second digital file, and a dataset. The software-defined radio comprises, an analog signal reception device, an analog-to-digital converter, and a digital signal processing system. The set of radio frequency collection parameters are associated with the software-defined radio and correspond to a plurality of analog signal protocols. The first digital file comprises raw signal information corresponding to at least one analog signal received by the analog signal reception device. The second digital file comprises metadata information corresponding to the at least one analog signal received by the analog signal reception device. The dataset comprises the raw signal information time-associated with at least a portion of the metadata information.

  • Patent number: 7204647
Abstract: A method and apparatus for monitoring of a semiconductor light source utilizing a beamsplitter within a photonic package is described, wherein the photonic package comprises a housing, a semiconductor light source disposed within the housing. The semiconductor light source has a first light beam output having data encoded thereon. A beam splitter cube (BSC) also disposed inside the housing to create a first split output of the first light beam output. The BSC has a light beam splitting characteristic that negatively impacts the encoding of the data in the first light beam within a predetermined limited threshold. A photodetector is disposed inside the housing to receive the first split output. The photodetector is adapted to determine properties of the first split output notwithstanding that the first split output is created in the limited impact manner.

  • Patent number: 6803562
Abstract: A photonic package includes a housing having a semiconductor light source disposed within the housing. The semiconductor light source has a first output and a second output. A reflective surface is disposed inside the housing to reflect the second output from the semiconductor light source. A photodetector is also disposed within the housing and is adapted to indirectly receive the second output of the semiconductor light source reflected off the reflective surface. As a result, interior surface of a housing of an optical transponder may be utilized to provide reflected light to a photodetector to monitor the semiconductor light source.
