Abstract: Methods, computing systems, and computer-readable media for detecting sensor malfunctioning status. The method includes receiving sensor measurements of a first type from a first type of sensor, deriving a first value for a metric from the sensor measurements of the first type, receiving sensor measurements of a second type from a second type of sensor, wherein the second measurements of the second type include a second value for the metric, comparing the first value to the second value, determining whether the first type of sensor or the second type of sensor is malfunctioning based on the comparing, and storing or outputting information indicating whether first type of sensor and the second type of sensor are malfunctioning.

Abstract: Washing apparatus and methods used to process additively fabricated (e.g., 3D printed) parts are described herein. The apparatus and methods may be used to wash uncured liquid resin from the parts. The washing apparatus may include two or more containers for storing respective solvents and may be fluidly connected to a vessel in which the additively fabricated parts are placed. One or more pumps and one or more valves may be controlled to introduce a first solvent from one of the containers into the vessel to wash the part in a first wash cycle and then the valve(s) may be re-configured to introduce a second solvent from another container into the vessel to wash the part in a second wash cycle. Advantageously, the parts may remain in the same vessel while being washed with both solvents in succession.

Abstract: A medical bed frame may include a base frame, a pair of side members selectively movable laterally towards or away from the base frame, a first and second drive assembly each comprising: a first and second pair of cams configured to move the pair of side members, and a central linkage for rotating the first and second pair of cams, a first actuator operatively connected to the central linkage of the first drive assembly and the base frame, and a second actuator operatively connected to the central linkage of the second drive assembly and the base frame, wherein the first and second actuator are configured to selectively move the central linkage in one of a first direction and a second direction, whereby selective movement of the first actuator and the second actuator results in lateral movement of the pair of side members towards or away from the base frame.

Abstract: A resource tagging service allows resource tags to be created and associated with computing resources in a service provider network. The resource tags can be utilized to search, collect, filter, organize and otherwise manage computing resources in the service provider network having matching tags, and/or to perform other types of functionality. A resource groups service allows customers and/or other users of the service provider network to view and access collections of computing resources that share common resource tags and/or other attributes. Resource groups can also be evaluated in order to identify computing resources in a service provider network for which certain types of actions or other functionality is to be performed. Membership of resource groups can also be evaluated over time and inferences can be drawn from the membership and from operational information associated with the member computing resources.

Abstract: An assembly for a steering column assembly including an engagement plate and a telescope plate at least partially disposed within the engagement plate. The engagement plate may be adapted to be located between a column tube of a steering column assembly and the telescope plate. The engagement plate and the telescope plate have one or more features for engaging with or contacting each other to provide energy absorption during an impact exceeding a threshold load. These features may include one or more projections or protrusions, one or more slots, one or more ribs, or a combination.

Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include systems for generating personalized avatar reactions during live video broadcasts. For example, the systems and methods described herein can access a social networking system user's profile to identify an avatar associated with the social networking system user. The systems and methods can generate an avatar reaction by modifying one or more features of the avatar based on a corresponding emoticon reaction. Once generated, the social networking system user can select the avatar reaction for addition to an ephemeral reaction stream associated with a live video broadcast. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: An intermediate container for a refuse vehicle where the container is positioned in front of the refuse vehicle is provided. A plurality of legs extends from the container toward the refuse vehicle. An attachment mechanism is on each leg to secure the legs to a front loading arm assembly of the refuse vehicle.

Abstract: This application relates to a building energy analysis and management system for measurement and verification of building performance. The system can analyze, optimize, manage, maintain, trouble shoot, and/or modify building systems, such as HVAC systems, in connection with the building energy usage. Measurements may be gathered for one or more HVAC units coupled to pressure independent valves, and sent to one or more Surge Panels that pass data to remote analysis servers, which can receive other system or external data. The analysis servers compare measurements to predicted values and can standardize the predicted values to account for external conditions. The comparison can result in difference values used to generate probable causes and optimization recommendations. The system outputs reports or other data display using a graphical user interface that can be adjusted for an anticipated user.

Abstract: Embodiments are generally directed to graphics processor data access and sharing. An embodiment of an apparatus includes a circuit element to produce a result in processing of an application; a load-store unit to receive the result and generate pre-fetch information for a cache utilizing the result; and a prefetch generator to produce prefetch addresses based at least in part on the pre-fetch information; wherein the load-store unit is to receive software assistance for prefetching, and wherein generation of the pre-fetch information is based at least in part on the software assistance.

Abstract: A circuit can include a capacitor that has a semiconductor layer, a dielectric layer, and a conductive layer. The circuit can include an insulating layer and a metal or conductive layer. The metal layer can have a first portion that has a first plurality of fingers, and a second portion that has a second plurality of fingers, which can be interdigitated with the first plurality of fingers. The circuit can include one or more first electrical connections that electrically couple the first portion of the metal layer to the semiconductor layer of the capacitor. The circuit can include one or more second electrical connections that electrically couple the second portion of the metal layer to the conductive layer of the capacitor. A capacitance provided by the interdigitated first and second pluralities of fingers can be at least about 3% of a capacitance provided by the capacitor.

Abstract: A method implemented by at least one server for pushing managed package upgrades comprises receiving a dependency graph from an operating entity via an API call that expresses relationships between a set of software packages. A subscriber set is ingested for subscribers of the software packages via an API call to the operating entity that owns the software packages. A per-subscriber dependency graph is constructed expressing relationships between the individual subscriber's delivery operations. The set of packages is delivered based on dependency order of the per-subscriber dependency graph, while applying one or more rules including: i) push schedule rules that allow the first operating entity to specify time-based gates for the deliveries; ii) subscriber exclusion rules that allow the operating entity to exclude specific subscribers; iii) rules for automatic retries of failed operations; and iv) rules to chunk the push upgrade operations.

The user moves his or her hand in an upward direction, causing the bucket to rotate or flip in the air. By varying the speed, power, angle, and other factors, the user may cause the bucket to rotate 180 degrees and land on its top, 360 degrees and land on its bottom, or greater than 360 degrees to land on its top or bottom depending on the number of rotations.

Abstract: A unique method and apparatus for metal valley installation that waterproofs shingled roof applications in valley (e.g., such as “V” or “W” metal valley angled roof) applications. Applicant's invention provides a membrane situated between the metal valley and the shingles with a portion of the membrane being situated and secured to the roof deck between the ice and water shield and the shingles. The membrane creates a dead zone that collects or prevents ice and water from backing up from the roof valley over the metal valley, over the edge of the metal valley, and in between the ice and water shield and the shingles.

Abstract: A modular and scalable system configured to generate a topology platform for training, entertainment, gaming, living, working, acting, viewing, etc. The platform can have a plurality of movable columns that are extendable and retractable. In some embodiments, some of the columns can be retracted to allow users to walk on the columns while other columns can be extended to form a barrier (e.g., wall) or form an inanimate object (e.g., table). The system may be used in furniture to provide topologies for highly customized support structure designs to accommodate varying body shapes, sizes, and individual comfort levels. The system may be used to generate topologies for greenscreen film stages to provide post-production editing, compositing with actors, stuntmen, and video, etc. The platform can be configurable and re-configurable to change the objects and features of the topology and represent different or dynamic environments at any time.

Abstract: Techniques for enabling secure access to data using data blocks is described. Computing device(s) can provide instruction(s) to a component associated with an entity, wherein the instruction(s) are associated with an identifier corresponding to a data block of a plurality of data blocks. The computing device(s) can receive, from the component, data associated with the component, wherein the data is associated with the identifier and is indicative of a state of the component. The computing device(s) can store the data in the data block and monitor, using rule(s), changes to the state of the component based at least partly on the data in the data block. As a result, techniques described herein enable near real-time—and in some examples, automatic—reporting and/or remediation for correcting changes to the state of the component using data that is securely accessed by use of data blocks.

Abstract: The present teachings relate to a spacer having a body portion and two or more opposing contact surfaces extending from the body portion, forming an angle with the body portion. The spacer may be adapted to engage with a portion of a steering column assembly to reduce or prevent rotation of a column tube during a telescoping adjustment. The teachings also include an adjustable steering column assembly having a column tube with a portion extending therefrom; a steering shaft supported for rotation at least in part by the column tube; a column housing for at least partially supporting the column tube; and the spacer. The spacer may be secured to the column tube to reduce or prevent rotation of the column tube. The teachings further contemplate a method of limiting rotational travel of a column tube during telescoping adjustment using the spacer.
