Abstract: Disclosed are improved methods, systems and devices for color night vision that reduce the number of intensifiers and/or decrease noise. In some embodiments, color night vision is provided in system in which multiple spectral bands are maintained, filtered separately, and then recombined in a unique three-lens-filtering setup. An illustrative four-camera night vision system is unique in that its first three cameras separately filter different bands using a subtractive Cyan, Magenta and Yellow (CMY) color filtering-process, while its fourth camera is used to sense either additional IR illuminators or a luminance channel to increase brightness. In some embodiments, the color night vision is implemented to distinguish details of an image in low light. The unique application of the three-lens subtractive CMY filtering allows for better photon scavenging and preservation of important color information.

Abstract: A system and method for managing series video-on-demand (SVOD) products is described. One implementation of the described device includes the steps of receiving a selection to activate a SVOD guide; retrieving a list of SVOD providers; retrieving display data for each of the SVOD providers included in the list of SVOD providers; and initiating display of the retrieved display data for each of the SVOD providers, wherein a user can select at least one of the SVOD providers.

Abstract: A method and system for the optimal alignment of programming information using a grid, in particular the display of programming information to http client viewers in a clear, concise, and efficient manner with regular spacing per unit of time. The system creates a reference row in a programming grid, divides the reference row into a plurality of segments, each segment representing a time period shorter than that of any program in the programming grid, and aligns in the programming grid the programming information of each program according to the segments of the reference row representing each program's respective time period.

Abstract: A system and method for generating and displaying customized electronic programming (EPG) data is described. One embodiment includes a method for generating a customized program listing for a set top box (STB). This method includes the steps of receiving a user preference for operating an EPG; retrieving programming information; sorting the retrieved programming information according to the user preference; formatting the sorted program information according to the user preference; and providing the formatted program information to the STB.

Abstract: A method and system for the presentation of pre-generated customized programming information to viewers. The system receives a request for programming information, and provides, in response to the request, at least one of a plurality of customized views of the programming information to the viewer, wherein the plurality of views are generated according to viewer characteristic data before receipt of the request. In one embodiment, the viewer characteristic data includes the options available to the viewer or the level of customization available to the viewer, while at least one of the customized views of the programming information may include a collection of Web page listings.

Abstract: A system and method for generating and displaying customized electronic programming (EPG) data is described. One exemplary method includes the steps of retrieving a plurality of category preferences associated with a user; retrieving a list of displayable program indicators for each of the plurality of category preferences, wherein each of the program indicators included in the list of displayable program indicators is associated with a start time; retrieving program data for each of the program indicators included in the list of displayable program indicators; and providing the retrieved program data for display.
