  • Patent number: 8645857
Abstract: A system and method for controlling the display of multiple pieces of information in adjacent regions of a display area is presented. A user control for the interface between the regions is provided so that a single type of user input provided to the control can contextually alter various characteristics of the interface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 26, 2008
Date of Patent: February 4, 2014
Assignee: Intellectual Ventures Fund 83 LLC
Inventors: Danai Bisalputra, David S. Kauffman

  • Publication number: 20090180128
Abstract: A method for managing color in a workflow comprises: identifying a plurality of device conditions for a plurality of devices wherein a device condition indicates an operating condition for a device; identifying a selection of device conditions representing the possible sources and destinations of image data for a job wherein identifying the selection of device conditions comprises identifying a plurality of destination conditions corresponding to a plurality of destination devices; obtaining a device response for each of the selection of device conditions; and associating the selection of device conditions with at least one color setup map used to transform source image data into destination image data based on device responses associated with corresponding device conditions.

  • Publication number: 20080204772
Abstract: A printing system allows a print buyer to submit an electronic print order. The system analyzes the print order to determine whether a print configuration dictated by the print order can accurately reproduce all of the colors of the associated printing content. The system provides the print buyer with information to determine whether a different print configuration that improves color accuracy has an acceptable production impact for the print order.

  • Patent number: 5625766
Abstract: A software based proofing method allowing to proof and measure registration between both sides of a press sheet by displaying, on a color monitor, both sides superimposed on each other. By making the paper appear transparent the front-to-back registration can be accurately measured and corrected. The data to be displayed is taken from a low resolution raster processor identical in operation to a full resolution raster processor used to generate the output data for the film or plate imaging device. For color files the color separation files are used instead of the composite file in order to be able to proof color registration and trapping between any colors. By using the same files as the imaging device the highest accuracy is achieved.
