  • Publication number: 20240143608
Abstract: A computer-implemented semantic analysis system for ranking search results has instructions including the steps: receive a query about a first document authored by a person; read in data identifying the first document; read in a second document about the person authored after the first document; identify indicator terms in the second document related to whether or not there is a significant discrepancy between the second document and the first document; read in weighting factors for the identified indicator terms; determine an aggregate weighting factor that decreases with an increasing number of indicator terms found; and calculate a score of how much of a discrepancy there is between the second document and the first document using the weighting factors. When multiple first documents are returned for multiple persons, present the links in order from high score to low score.

  • Patent number: 11963691
Abstract: A surgical instrument, has an end effector that includes an ultrasonic blade, and a clamp arm that moves relative to the ultrasonic blade from an opened position toward an intermediate position and a closed position. The clamp arm is offset from the ultrasonic blade to define a predetermined gap in the intermediate position between the opened position and the closed position. A clamp arm actuator connects to the clamp arm and moves from an opened configuration to a closed configuration to direct the clamp arm from the opened position toward the intermediate position and the closed position. A spacer connects with the clamp arm to inhibit movement of the clamp arm from the intermediate position toward the closed position for maintaining the predetermined gap between the clamp arm and the ultrasonic blade.

  • Patent number: 11951505
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system and method for dispensing a floor coating in a specified ratio of multiple components is disclosed. The system and method may set and maintain a desired ratio of the multiple components by controlling, with a controller, a drive rate of respective pumps configured for propelling the components from a reservoir to a mixer or a dispenser. The controller may be responsive to at least one of a measured actual drive rate, an environmental condition, an actual usage of each component, and an operational parameter of the system, for adjusting a drive rate of the respective pumps to compensate for discrepancies that may affect the ratio of the multiple components.

  • Patent number: 11196418
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to an I/O bank impedance calibration circuit having (a) a replica master resistor coupled to an external precision resistor, and (b) a control circuit configured to calibrate an output impedance of the master resistor to generate a calibrated code to control a replica slave resistor in each bank. In an illustrative example, a signal applied to the replica master resistor may be compared against a programmable reference signal. The control circuit may generate the calibrated code, in response to the comparison result, to calibrate the output impedance of the replica master resistor. By implementing the replica master resistor and the replica slave resistor, impedances of a large number of IOs or banks may be calibrated by the impedance calibration circuit using a single one reference pin.

  • Publication number: 20190353621
Abstract: A crack detecting system includes a tool movable along a conduit or structure and having at least one sensing device for sensing cracks in a wall of the conduit or structure. The sensing device includes a fluid emitter and the fluid emitter includes at least one orifice configured to emit fluid. In response to the orifice emitting fluid, the emitted fluid excites the conduit or structure and the sensing device senses a response from the excitation of the conduit or structure. • Patent number: 10343448
Abstract: A paint tray liner bag can fully encapsulate a rigid paint tray and fully form to the shape of the rigid paint tray. The paint tray liner bag includes a bag flap that folds over to the bottom of the rigid paint tray and has holes to receive the legs of the rigid paint tray, thereby securing the paint tray liner bag on the rigid paint tray. Unlike rigid paint trays, that do not fit well into sinks and have ridges that can be difficult to clean, the paint tray liner bag can be removed from the rigid paint tray and easily cleaned due to its smooth surface and flexibility to fit into a user's sink.
