  • Patent number: 11806291
Abstract: A patient support apparatus comprises a support frame and a patient support deck carried by the support frame. The patient support deck has a foot section configured to articulate relative to the support frame. A deck extension assembly comprises an extension frame and a deck extension section configured to extend and retract relative to the support frame. One more bearings are arranged between the deck extension section and the support frame. The deck extension section is movably coupled to the extension frame so that the deck extension section is able to move relative to the extension frame and relative to the foot section when the deck extension section extends and retracts relative to the support frame such that the deck extension section maintains contact with the bearing when extending and retracting relative to the support frame.

  • Publication number: 20230122204
Abstract: A patient support apparatus includes a support frame and a patient support deck operatively attached to the support frame. The patient support deck includes an adjacent pair of deck sections with a first one of the deck sections moveable between an initial configuration and a raised configuration. A gap covering deck section is slidingly engaged to a top surface of the first or second one of the adjacent deck sections and is pivotably coupled to either the other one of the deck sections or to the support frame, with the gap covering deck section configured to slide along the top surface in response to the movement of the first one of the deck sections so as to be at least partially disposed over a gap between the adjacent deck sections when the first one of the deck sections is in the raised configuration.

  • Publication number: 20230050635
Abstract: A patient support apparatus includes a support frame that carries a patient support deck comprising a plurality of sections and a deck extension assembly including a deck extension frame that supports a deck extension section. The assembly is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The support frame includes a deck rail defining a channel and a deck slot extending between a proximal and distal deck notch. The deck extension frame includes an extension rail that is moveably disposed in the channel and a frame slot. A latch link comprises a link slot and is moveably mounted to the deck extension frame. A latch pin is movably supported in each of the deck slot, frame slot, and link slot. • Publication number: 20170348449
Abstract: A method of disinfecting a fluid circuit of a thermal control for delivering temperature controlled fluid to at least one patient therapy device comprises the steps of providing an aqueous mixture comprising a disinfectant and circulating the aqueous mixture in the thermal control unit to disinfect the fluid circuit. The disinfectant comprises free-chlorine, a phenol, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), or combinations thereof. If the disinfectant comprises free-chlorine, the free-chlorine is provided by a chlorinated isocyanurate (e.g. sodium dichloroisocyanurate; NaDCC). In addition, the free-chlorine is present in the aqueous mixture in an amount of at least about 100 parts per million (ppm). If the disinfectant comprises the phenol, the phenol is natural (e.g. thymol). In addition, the phenol is present in the aqueous mixture in an amount of at least about 10,000 ppm. If utilized, H2O2 is present in the aqueous mixture in an amount of at least about 5,000 ppm.
