  • Publication number: 20180339115
Abstract: A pen needle assembly (10) includes a pen needle (12) with a hub body (16) having a needle shield (28) that covers a needle (26) and can be retracted to expose the needle during injection and return to the extended position after use and locked in the extended position. A spring (56) is provided to rotate the needle shield after use to a locked position. A locking member (84) can be provided on the needle shield that cooperates with the hub body (16) to prevent rotation after use. An attachment mechanism (38) for the pen needle provides a sensory indication when a needle-bearing hub body (16) is seated on a pen and limits further rotation of the pen needle relative to the delivery device.

  • Publication number: 20170258135
Abstract: A personal charging case for charging an e-vaping device includes a body to establish a partial enclosure of the e-vaping device, an electrical charging circuit, and a spring element. The electrical charging circuit includes an electrical connection within the body interior and may charge the e-vaping device internal battery via contact with an electrical connection of the e-vaping device. The spring element exerts a spring force on the e-vaping device to push the e-vaping device electrical connection away from contact with the electrical charging circuit electrical connection in the absence of a holding force. The case may include a cover that exerts the holding force on the e-vaping device to push the e-vaping device electrical connection into contact with the electrical charging circuit electrical connection. The case may include one or more light indicators to indicate amounts of electrical power and pre-vapor formulation in the e-vaping device.

  • Patent number: 9675766
Abstract: An instrument, article and method are provided for minimizing pain during administration by injection of a liquid, such as, an anesthetic. The instrument has a forward end. A rod or lightpipe mounted freely for vibration projects out of the forward end. The article, a single use tip, is composed of a tip sleeve removably mounted on the forward end of the instrument and a tip member removably mounted on the projecting rod or lightpipe to vibrate a preselected injection site on a human or animal. The tip sleeve and tip member are covered by an elastic overmold that enables the tip member to vibrate freely with respect to the tip sleeve and light from the lightpipe to illuminate the injection site. The overmold of the single use tip is torn during removal of the single use tip from the instrument.
