  • Patent number: 11833815
Abstract: An example of an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a printhead to dispense drops of print fluid on a media. The drops are to travel along a drop path through air from the printhead. In addition, the apparatus includes a light source to emit light across the drop path. The apparatus also includes a detector to detect an intensity of the light received from the light source. The drop path is to intersect an optical path from the light source to the detector. Furthermore, the apparatus includes a coating disposed on the optical path between the drop path and the detector. The coating is to absorb a threshold amount of the light.

  • Publication number: 20230210555
Abstract: A system and related methods of preventing wrong-site surgeries and blade-related injuries to OR personnel, which includes a computer software system (for use on computers or hand-held devices in the medical environment) in combination with a surgical supply carrier (such as a safety blade-dispenser or other surgical sharps dispenser). The surgical supply carrier comprises at least one component, such as a label, which prevents or impedes a surgeon from accessing one or more surgical instruments stored within until after a “time-out” is performed by the surgeon or authorized OR personnel to confirm various details including but not limited to correct patient, correct procedure, correct equipment, etc, before starting the intended surgical procedure. Data can be captured throughout the medical environment (from “decision-to-incision” and beyond) to assess wrong-site surgery data (including “near miss” data) and enable a host of analytics on wrong-site surgery prevention.

  • Publication number: 20230112311
Abstract: A computerized method of generating an automated control pathway for a user interface includes displaying a graphical development environment having a palette area and multiple graphical programming elements, displaying a user selected question programming element and multiple associated pathway branches in the palette area, and assigning a received answer field to one of the branches. The method includes associating a selected determination programming element with one of the branches, and assigning a status value to the selected determination programming element that includes a drug request approval indication or a drug request denial indication. The method further includes running the automated control pathway to receive, via the user interface, an answer to a question associated with the selected question programming element, determining one of the branches associated with the received answer, and automatically transmitting an approval status or a denial status according to the determined branch.

  • Publication number: 20230110831
Abstract: A computerized method of real-time automated request programming using APIs includes receiving structured patient data at a pharmacy system infrastructure, executing an eligibility API call to an eligibility service module to obtain structured member eligibility data, and obtaining an authorization request including structured drug regimen data. The method includes executing a drug benefit API call to a claims engine to obtain structured drug benefit data associated with each of multiple drug database entries, generating a drug authorization request, and executing a drug authorization API call to an authorization engine to obtain an authorization approval or an authorization denial.

  • Publication number: 20230111178
Abstract: A computerized method of automated linking management of regimen database entries includes receiving one or more clinical responses via a user interface, searching a production database to identify a regimen group database entry, and obtaining each drug regimen database entry linked with the identified regimen group database entry. The method includes receiving a selection of one of the drug regimen database entries via the user interface, and obtaining structured drug attribute data for each drug database entry linked with the selected drug regimen database entry. The structured drug attribute data for each drug regimen database entry includes structured dosage data. In response to receiving a regimen authorization request via the user interface, the method includes generating a drug authorization request for each drug database entry linked with the selected drug regimen database entry, and transmitting the generated drug authorization requests to a claim processing engine.

  • Publication number: 20220068484
Abstract: A trained predictive server is provided for determining that a diagnosis and treatment plan is inaccurate. The trained predictive server includes a processor configured to receive a set of prior authorization (PA) data associated with a medical claim for a patient, and determine that the set of PA data indicates that the medical claim is associated with a qualifying critical illness. The processor is further configured to extract component data from the set of PA data, and apply the extracted component data to a trained predictive model associated with the qualifying critical illness to determine whether the medical claim is associated with an inaccurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Upon determining that the medical claim is associated with an inaccurate diagnosis and treatment plan, the processor is configured to generate a request for a consulting review of the diagnosis and treatment plan using the set of PA data.

  • Patent number: 11008534
Abstract: A bacteria referred to here as Bacillus subtilis 6A-1 is provided, compositions thereof and processes for use of the bacteria, spores, cells, extracts and enzymes. The compositions which comprise the bacteria, spores, cells, extracts and/or enzymes are capable of degrading polysaccharides. Such compositions are capable of degrading cellulose, including plant-produced cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose and carboxymethyl cellulose. The bacteria produces at least two cellulose-degrading protein fractions. Cellulose degrading activity continues across pH2 to pH13.

  • Publication number: 20200359652
Abstract: Compositions having surfactant and carbohydrate-degrading activity are produced from Bacillus subtilis strain 6A-1. The compositions include cultured plaque, exudate and fractions having such activity. Methods of producing the compositions and compositions which have increased surfactant and carbohydrate-degrading activity and increased biomass are provided. Proteins and nucleic acid molecules associated with same and methods of identifying compositions comprising the surfactant and carbohydrate-degrading activity are provided. Feeding the compositions to animals results in increased unsaturated and/or decreased saturated fatty acids in the animals and their food products and can also result in increased absorption and/or retention of dietary calcium by said animals.
